I enjoy voting for VT's National Player of the Week and Frosh of the Week plus the Player of the Week, Frosh of the Week, Offensive POW, Defensive POW, and Setter of the Week for various conferences. But I never watch every match in any conference, much less every match in D1. I always feel like I'm probably missing some excellent players. I'd like some suggestions for these players. I'll try to find the matches for those players and watch. If you have a link to the match, I'd appreciate it but just the name and team would be very helpful. If you think that a player deserves consideration, please add her name and, if possible, a brief explanation of why she's worthy. For those who don't vote, here's the thread. Anyone can vote so if you watch a fair amount of vb, vote volleytalk.proboards.com/thread/86269/vt-players-week-fall-2021Here are a few players from the PAC Frosh of the Week Charitie Luper, UCLA - hit .410 with 19 kills, 1 block assist, and 7 digs in the match against USC (4 sets vs USC) Sami Francis, Stanford - hit .425 with 19 kills and 3 block assists (4 sets vs Cal) Kami Miner, Stanford - 60 assists, team hit .344 (4 sets vs Cal) OPOW Dani Drews, Utah - hit .227 with 26 kills, 2 aces (plus 2 service errors), and 12 digs (5 sets vs Washington) Brooke Nuneviller, Oregon - hit .258 with 11 kills, 1 assist, and 10 digs (3 sets vs OSU) Morgan Lewis, Oregon - hit .500 with 9 kills, 1 assist, and 4 block assists (3 sets vs OSU) Leah Clayton, Colorado - hit .212 with 14 kills, a solo block, and 9 digs (3 sets vs WSU) Magda Jehlarova, Washington State - hit .348 with 10 kills, 3 digs, 3 solo blocks, and 3 block assists (3 sets vs Colorado) Kendall Kipp, Stanford - hit .441 with 21 kills, 3 block assists, and 6 digs (4 sets vs Cal) Mima Mirkovic, Cal - hit .350 with 14 kills, 10 digs, and a solo block (4 sets vs Stanford) eta: I can't find Colorado @ WSU but here are the other matches I mentioned Utah @ Washington Cal @ Stanford Oregon State @ Oregon USC @ UCLA

What matches should ppl watch for the B1G? I've seen Ohio State @ Purdue and parts of a few other matches.
Who were the all-stars for Maryland when they defeated Wisconsin? They have to be among the favorites for NPOW and also for the VT B1g awards.
Was it Gomillion? Thomas? Neciporuka? Dowler? Gomillion has to be in the running for B1G FOW and maybe NFOW. Samedy was amazing again. 30 kills in 5 sets, hitting .250 w 17 digs. She has to be in the running. Does anyone have a link to the MI @ MN match?
Other key matches for any of the conferences?
eta: Link to the WI @ MD match

Krause from Nebraska should be in contention for FOW. I know some will scuff at match-ups with NW and Iowa, but she hit over .500% in both and had 27 kills (15 and 12) in a 4-setter and 3-setter, respectively.
Also impressive she did so on RS that she is still learning. Good week for her.

I listed Francis and Miner and it was for a match vs Cal so I think Krause should qualify (And Oregon played Oregon State.) It is impressive when ppl change positions and still do well. I know I put more weight on Francis bc she was a MB until recently and is now playing OH, which is a big transition, as well as the transition from high school to D1. It doesn't always work out but usually players improve quite a bit as they get more time in a position. Thanks for adding Krause. ETA: Becca Morse was libero instead of DS, which she usually plays. That makes her 20 digs even more impressive IMO.

I am one of the folks who send in their vote for VT Players of the Week but unfortunately I only ever have time to watch the matches in PAC, B1G, and WCC so I only send in votes for those conferences.
Unfortunately because only few folks include WCC in their ballots, my WCC votes never get seen in the results, so I think this is my chance to say that Kenzie Koerber has been lights out for BYU and IMO should be a contender for NPOY, depending on how well BYU’s season goes.
This week specifically, she hit .353 (9 kills) in 3 sets vs. Pacific and hit .500 (16 kills) in 3 sets vs. Saint Mary’s. Obviously those are unranked teams but her hitting percentages are still amazing.

tough to pick between Luper and Timmer for offensive player of the week in the pac-12 imo I'm voting for Timmer for POW and Luper for FOW. 31 kills (hitting .303), 21 digs, and 3.5 blocks against WA >> 18 kills (hitting .372), 13 digs and 1 block against a Stanford team without Oglivie. It also takes care of my FOW vote. I"m not sure who else I'd go with there. I guess Miner but it feels like she's always my fallback for PAC FOW (and Luper is my other one). I realize that Timmer had so many kills, digs, etc. bc the fourth set had 90 points but keeping your game up that long is very impressive IMO. I don't count Becca Morse as a frosh. She played 44 sets (12 matches) in 2020 so she's a sophomore.
