Wisconsin is worse than I thought. Really? Maryland has good players. . . Not top tier, but good players (they took OHioState to 5 games twice in the spring, Hughes is a good coach. . . Wisconsin lost a starter to injury for the season and the haven’t lost a B1G match in a while. . . Wisconsin wasn’t ready to play their first conference match and they paid for it. Seems like a perfect set up for Wisconsin to get beat. . .and on the other hand, by HIS own words to his team on Friday, Hughes said night they “won the biggest match in program’s history”. Maryland was going to get smacked down today by almost any B1G team. They are still on cloud 9 after Friday. Minnesota just happened to have good scheduling luck. The best I can tell, only one B1G team has inferior players and only 2 others have inferior atmospheres right now. Wisconsin got their wake up call early. . . this will probably save them from another loss to a middle tier B1G team as the season progresses. 🏐 That was just a Texas fan trolling. That Longhorn fan was kidding. Nobody thinks Wisconsin is awful. That's stupid. 👆 It was literally tongue in cheek because everyone was debating about how good or bad Maryland is on multiple threads. But people who lack a sense of humor can go off, I guess. I never know if I find it more entertaining when people get that I'm joking, or when they don't.

Wow. I thought MD was gonna make this at least a semi-close set when it was 16-13. Like 20 or 21.
Kudos, MN.
It happens, MD. Lick your wounds and regroup. You can do good things this year.

Gophers are getting better every game. They are getting their middles more involved which is making them better. Let’s hope this team continues to get better.

When is last match where the Gopher’s opponent hit negative? 78 14 38 -179 after 2 sets The last match was vs St. Thomas last week (15-19-74, -.054). Going back in time a bit further... vs. Fairfield in the 2019 NCAA first round (22-26-106, -.038).

Sam Csire: 4 kills, 14 errors on 33 attempts. -.303. That's got to be some kind of B1G record for a three set match with over 30 attempts.
Maryland's starters shouldn't be too concerned about ever getting taken out of a game, I guess. That was a wildly bad performance.

Great set by Mel to Samedy to end the match … which also let Stephanie tie for most kills (11) in the match, along with Jenna.
