Anyone else lost a national title match to them and then a regional final as the higher seed the next year? What did you expect? Penn State had Hancock. Wisconsin only had Carlini. For the regional final in 2014, they barely had Carlini. Twisted ankle during the first set, played the rest of the way on one leg (and then said she wouldn't have been able to play the next weekend if they had won)

No, but we Wisconsin fans don't like to see Penn State win in general, unless it somehow directly benefits the Badgers. A really painful series history does that. Everyone in the B1G has a painful history against Penn State. I wish that was true but you forget that one team named nebraska

MD couldn't hang on for another big upset, but still, they've got to feel a little better after the MN match. Now on to Columbus. The B1G really can be psychotically unforgiving.

Who got a yellow? I missed it. pretty sure Blossom got one, or the PSU coaching staff. one of the two. Maryland felt they got screwed by the challenge on the net call late in the match, and Adam didn't want to hear anything the down ref had to say. Maybe that was it?

I think Adam just didn't want to linger on that call and negatively affect his team by arguing it for 10 more minutes, like some other coaches do.

A healthy Carlini was never able to beat Hancock either. Hancock took Carlini's job during the first match of their first international tournament. Hancock has Olympic gold hanging around her neck. Carlini didn't make the roster. Hancock must be a prominent feature in Carlini's nightmares.
