The last 5 times these teams have played in Lawrence - Kansas has won twice. Some really great matches over this time. 2015: Texas won in 5 sets. This was Kansas final four team. 2016: Kansas won in 5 sets. This was the year Kansas won the conference. 2017: Texas won in 5 sets - 18-16 in the 5th set. 2018: Kansas won in 5 sets. This was post Payne, Havili, Rigdon. This Kansas team just missed making the tournament. 2019: Texas won in 3 sets. This was a pretty bad Kansas team. I remember one I call "everyone was sweating profusely" match, probably the 2017 game. But it's K-State and their un-airconditioned "gym" that's the one where everyone looks exhausted in the 5th set.
How's KU's serve receive? we went five with both teams from Kansas that year on the road. like bluepenquin said, five in Lawrence where it was 18-16 in the fifth and neither team played really well. then in Manhattan, Texas came back from 0-2 down against K-State.

Sun and Shooks freshman year and it wasn’t a very good passing team.

How's KU's serve receive?
I think I was at each of those matches except the 2019 one. They were very crowded and it is a fairly small gym. They tend to keep the gym on the cold side. I have never been hot at one of their games. I think at least a couple of them were later in the year, where everyone would have a winter coat and no place to put it other than just wear it. Serve receive is much, much better than 2019/2020. The issues have usually been lack of terminating or playing some loose points during longer rallies. Some inconsistencies from the RS where Szabo too often just keeps the ball in play and Davis is prone to stuff blocks.

I just noticed that Kansas is top 20 in RPI. this'll be a good win for Texas to get if they get it.

I am excited to have something to watch that seems interesting. Wisconsin football in 2021, meh. Big showdown with Penn State at Iowa in football, um, can you do that forward pass thing well? If Texas plays well and ends it quickly, at least it will be an impressive showing.

The Texas block is no where to be found.

According to twitter no Skylar in the starting line up. Melanie, Logan, and Molly at the pins

Must have been a lineup thing. Fields in playing, and she has destroyed a couple of sets. 15-13 Kansas. Texas has one ace at least, but otherwise they are not getting Kansas out of system, and the Longhorns are not blocking well.

So nice to see that slide from Brionne, starting to look really smooth

17-15 KU. The commentator is really good. She told us Kansas was running crossing patterns to still be able to run slides in a 6-2 earlier.

The serving isn’t great but they forced to 3 over passes on serves and lost all 3 points.
