she keeps hitting the same shot but it's working lol Disagree slightly. today she hit sharp cross but also showed quick ups to hit cross body a couple of overpasses. when you touch 11' and can hit over almost anyone it's all a matter of seeing the defensive holes and hitting it there. she hit at the 8' line when she got dug at the 10' line. Yeah this right here. There was a stretch where she got some kills in a row where you can her shots getting sharper and sharper lol.

The ball control of Texas was near perfect today - and anything above average is going to make them extremely difficult to beat. Kansas didn't look good, but the serving of Texas looks really good. Peterson and Iosia were on today. Especially Iosia with 15 digs.

Kansas is going to be competitive for a bit with Crawford, Bien, Davis, I think their setters are all underclassmen too. Those 3 along with Elnady and both setters have 3 more years of eligibility.

What a dominant performance! Playing Texas back to back is not something anyone would want to do Maybe we can petition the NCAA to allow the final to be a best 2-3 series?

There were several points that I thought Kansas won that Texas kept the ball in play, extended the rally and won the point. The major difference today was the serve receive. It seems to be the only way to get Butler in the game - and wow, she is unstoppable in those situations. And then KU couldn't handle the TX serving.

Texas: "You should have beat us when you had the chance."

The serve game showed up better than yesterday. 3 SA to 13 SE doesn’t look good but they kept Kansas out of system consistently which is what I look for. What you can’t have is your weakest servers -Jhenna and Peterson throwing the ball in the net. Unlike yesterday they Kansas out of system offense was not very good. Passing was improved and Texas clearly made it a point to get the ball to the middles more.
Not sure if they finished at 100% but even after 2 games to be at 100% side out is unheard of at this level.

Anyone notice the nice dig at 24 for Skylar in the first set, she was ready for a back row attack but SKT went to Logan for the kill. Would like to see her get more attempts in the back row.

Fields is an excellent attacker that puts the ball away at a high clip. But I wonder how it would be if she had more passing, serving and floor defense duties? I’m sure it would drop some. She hasn’t looked terrible when she’s playing on the back row a few times this season. Logan’s hitting percentage is down this season but when watching her I feel like she is asked to do everything (serve tough, receive a ton of balls, hit a ton of out of system balls, block)except drive the bus. Skylar doesn’t have those responsibilities and can focus on hitting and blocking, but I would like to see her get that chance to drive the bus before she leaves. I agree with you! I love Eggleston. She is a proven and known threat who carries quite a load for her team. If Fields becomes 6 rotations and doesn’t have much of a drop off attacking wise….Wow. Both are amazing athletes.
