Deberg with... 1 dig through 3 sets?? What's the point of having her play back row if that's all she's gonna get? Granted, I didn't watch all of the match, so maybe she got a lot swings from the back row? Still...

OK, this match was not very entertaining, but I will point out one thing I noticed that needs to be mentioned. Both announcers just rambled at times during play, and several points, although sloppy offense on both sides at times, the LSU libero was flying around making some great digs to keep ball in play and neither announcer ever mentioned her name, or her effort during several points to keep LSU rolling. Did the announcers not know how to pronounce her name? Is Cianciulli that hard to pronounce?? Missouri had a total of 31 digs and LSU libero had 16 which was more than half the total of Mizzou.

Speaking of stats of an opponent versus Mizzou overall, I went to a men's basketball game there in 1997, and this dude had as many rebounds (22) as Mizzou did. His last name was Duncan. I think he went on to a decent pro career. |
