25-14 UCLA in the 2nd. UCLA went on a 13-1 run to close that set.

Luper and McCall are just making a huge difference this season. Really glad May came back, but also thrilled she has this kind of help along with Fleck and some truly physical middles.
Martin is aight too, I guess 😏

I picked UCLA 3/1 They have to drop at least one set or else it wouldnt be normal. What Im hoping for is a full technical problem free match. Not much to ask for. lol I havent seen one for they played USC last month. We get the lovely Pauley stream today. JOY!!!!! I know UCLA can use the good stream. They proved that back on Jan 22nd 2021 when they played CAL. They couldnt get the Pauley stream up so they put the game up on Twittor until they got the good stream going. 2 days later they were back to the Pauley stream. The Red, Green & Black dots all over the place was an extra bonus. lol. I complain a lot  I stand corrected They didnt drop a set. |

So how come the Bruins seem to be playing so well? I'm assuming this is not rhetorical, so: * Luper is a phenomenal, undersized OH who is taking a lot of pressure off May to be the only offensive threat. * We haven't had a solid slide hitter since Gates in 2018 -- Dodson is really stepping up in that role. * McCall's passing has helped tremendously and having her play 6-rotations at OPP means she's always there to help and she can kill the ball when needed. Plus her serving is lights out this season. * Fleck is... Fleck. Probably the best libero in the country ATM. * May is... YOU ALREADY KNOW! * Martin is slowly building a better connection with all her hitters. Alupei is also contributing big time at the net. Still working on her offense, but her blocking is on point. |

Didnt watch the match. But based on the result, UCLA must’ve looked liek a top 10 team today right? UCLA still needs to work on their middle offense, but with Luper back and McCall now playing OPP, UCLA is going in the right direction IMO. |

The Pac 12 is a nightmare to rank nationally this season, but UCLA was ranked too low coming into the week, in my opinion.
