School is in a lot of financial trouble Still a D1 job though Barely. That department is a trainwreck. Writings on the wall that whomever takes the gig will be expected to win relatively quickly without getting anywhere close to the resources necessary to do so. |

Well, lots of schools don't have the resources, it is the unrealistic expectations and an AD that is 1. Trying to make a name for himself rather than doing what is best for the athletes and the school 2. Does not understand the relationship between expectations and resources necessary to meet expectations 3. More of a bean counter than a sports person |

Doesn't mean it is a good job... since 2014 the school has had 4 different presidents. 3 of which lasted 2 years or less (one was interim). I believe they’re on AD #3 in that timeframe as well |

Speaking of stability. Whats taking some of these schools like eastern Washington so long. Geez. Get with it yall. Kent State has had Don off website since at least 1/6, Niagara announced leadership change on 1/13. They should be close to announcing, no? |

I don't think EWU is getting the specific candidate that they want to hire in the applicant pool. Sometimes hires are made and not announced yet for whatever reason, even after new coach has started. Perhaps they want to have their announcement photo in their new colors LOL |

Here is an issue.
Schools dont do not put out a press release when they fire the coach.
1. It reflects badly on the school.
2. Even worse, it reflects badly on the coach because most people will assume that the absence of a press release means that the coach was fired for cause. This hurts their chances for getting that next job, at minimum it means that they have to explain the readin gor the lack of press release.
