entertaining encounter but...doesnt quite smell right with no Leal out there
Swan did as could be expected imo but he just isnt that guy

Piacenza 3-0 Cisterna
Nice match for Russell: 14 kills (.545) and Lagumdzija: 13 kills (.400). Russell was 36/29 in reception which could be improved upon. Dirlic hit negative and Saadat came on as a sub.
Verona 3-0 Taranto
Didn't watch this one but pretty well rounded match for Verona... Mozic did not play. Kyed Jensen had 10 kills and 4 blocks. Stats show that Taranto had 0 blocks compared to Verona's 11. Was Taranto playing shorthanded? Only 8 players listed in the stats.
Perugia 3-1 Modena
Perugia put up a wall and did decent enough damage with the serve. Matt led Perugia with 15 kills and he chipped in 2 blocks. Nimir and E. Ngapeth each had 18 kills but it wasn't enough. Van Garderen had 3 kills, 8 errors, on 14 swings... eek!

Not sure why they insist on having it at the same time as the women’s game, but it is what it is.

He has only served 2. Am I wrong? It was reduced from 4 to 2. They found no evidence of racial offense so a request to cancel the entire punishment was rejected, but a reduction was accepted. |

Lube knocked them down early and then kept punching while they were on the ground.
Sweep them in 3, Trento never scored more than 19.
Every player but Anzani scored double-digits.
DeCecco set them to a .541 attack efficiency and 62% attack rate.

Lucarelli went 12-0-14, passing 67/50. Lube definitely won the serve pass battle.
Interestingly, both Kaziyski and Michieletto hit well under .200.

Podrascanin not getting a block, and Lisinac only getting 2 is a huge deficit to what they have been producing in this playoff series and the CL semifinals.

It's been reported that Sole has obtained Italian citizenship and won't count as a foreigner for Perugia next season. Apparently, this would mean he can't participate with the Argentina NT
