Here is a name who could quite possibly be an assistant coach, Tita Ahuna. Has head coaching experience. Team Captain of the 1987 NCAA Championship team. Outside Hitter, all around player. She would be a great coach. She is currently head coach for Punaho’s girls varsity since their last coach left the program

Tita was a head coach at HPU and won ncaa div II title. Not sure if she could play second fiddle to someone younger and less coaching experience than her. I could also be 100% wrong. If I am not mistaken Tita Ahuna, also runs the TAVA Volleyball Club, but I could be wrong.

Thinking, since Skylar Williams was replace by Anna Kiraly in the Middle, this must have been one of those matches where Williams just disappeared. As a Senior, be it a Covid Senior, Williams cannot have these kinds of matches where she just disappears. She needs to be consistent, not disappear in matches, as a Senior should be. Williams has to show up every match and be aggressive.

Probably due to things like family and I also believe she's an athletic director at Punahou. Don't really see her assisting Robyn. Robyn should have a lot of connections with her stints with the national team and maybe even former players maybe? But then again, the cost of living in Hawaii is high. Don't know how much (asst) coaches get paid.

People, do not worry, the Associate Head Coach position has been filled. It will be filled by the person who held that position. Could come as soon as next year. Why do you think Robyn has not filled that position, or the position of Director of Operations. Thinking either Kaleo Baxter, or Nick Castello will not only be an Assistant Coach, but also have the title of Director of Operations, once Coach Ang returns. It will be as if Coach Ang took a one year sabbatical.

I'm glad Hawaii has incorporated the back slide this year and it's improving, but it's slow. I wish they would incorporate a back quick. Kaufman had one of the most lethal back quicks with that leaping abilities of hers.

Kaufman had one of the most lethal back quicks with that leaping abilities of hers. The only Middle that can run the back slide quickly is Anna Kiraly. She can probably run the Back Quick, also. Of course she does not have the leaping ability of Kaufman, though.

She was doing so well in 2019

I'm watching the replay and the way Wagoner and BVS would set each other from the end line to the opposite side of the court and then score from a kill is absolute wild. They did it a couple times in the 4th set.

So does this mean Wahine will be allowed to have some fans at the Stan for CP coming up? That would be nice to see.

So does this mean Wahine will be allowed to have some fans at the Stan for CP coming up? That would be nice to see. In a word...no. From the latest UH press release: www.hawaii.edu/news/2021/10/08/limited-fan-attendance-allowed/"The first UH athletics events eligible to have a limited number of fans will be UH’s women’s soccer match on October 14 (vs. UC Irvine) at the Waipiʻo Peninsula Soccer Stadium, followed by UH’s home football game against New Mexico State on October 23, at the Clarence T.C. Ching Athletics Complex, women’s volleyball at the SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center on October 29 (vs. UC Davis) and October 30 (vs. UC Riverside), and Rainbow Wahine soccer’s last regular season match of the season on October 31 (vs. UC San Diego)." But, stay tuned. Things could change. After all, it's all seat of the pants leadership by the State and City & County, after supposedly listening to their chosen 'experts'. If they had powerful studies/analysis to justify their numbers and restrictions, they'd have smartly laid it all out for the public to review. After all, it's their health risk. Not having done that, gives 'leadership' the ability to take it all back tomorrow, or find they can open it up tomorrow, and who can say they were right or wrong. Welcome to Month 19, Day 586 of State emergency powers over life in Hawaii.
meanwhile...
Louisiana State University is lifting Covid entrance requirements for football games in Tiger Stadium. Neither proof of vaccination or a negative Covid test will be required to attend the next home game against Florida on Oct. 16.
Citing a reduction in the number of infections in Baton Rouge and statewide, the school said it will do away with game-day testing, fast pass pre-verification and all other entrance-related covid procedures.
