Is that a career high for Hoffman? Without her, we don't win this match against the ASU International All-Stars. Sanja really has assembled quite an international cast: Latvia, Brazil, Bosnia/Herzegovina, Italy, Canada, and Turkey, with a good portion of the best players from this group. I would assume that the downside is the players are not just adjusting to life in college but to a whole new culture. From the standpoint of volleyball experience, however, I'm guessing that most of these young women have a lot more high level volleyball experience (with professionals) than their American counterparts. |

The wins may be sketchy, but UW is still just 1 game out of first place in the PAC. Their two losses are also 5-setters, to good teams. It's not like they are a bad team. It's just that we can all see that they could be better. |

When did Crenshaw move away from Libero? And what is she playing now? Her box score is minimal Second set against WSU. She is DSing for Endsley now. Lauren "Bumblebee" Bays (credit: Volleyball Mag) came into her own in the 5-setter win over UCLA. I thought it was the plan all along - Cook just didn't want to throw her to the dogs at the start of the season (like happened to Shayne McPherson as a true frosh). |
