It’s sad that I would no longer be surprised if NWestern sweeps Minnesota at the Pav… Not happening. I'll be very interested to see if Landfair is healthy. What concerns me is that she's out, then back in, then out again. I don't even know for sure what the problem is, nor do I know whether or not it's been the same problem both times. But if it is, it concerns me that it's a recurrent sort of repetitive use injury that isn't healing. That doesn't bode well for her coming back at full steam for long stretches of play. Hope I'm wrong.

Hoping this extended time at home helps them to get back on track.

Does she need like two months? That would not be good.

This team needs Landfair but I think this week will be a good one for the Gophers with or without Landfair. I am looking for two Gopher sweeps this week. I have not been optimistic about this team lately but we are getting to the point of the season where things need to start coming together. The talent is there.

What concerns me is that she's out, then back in, then out again. Thus proving that she's perfectly fine, physically. Guessing the issue is all mental (not like mental health per se, but lack of confidence, or timing with Schaff is off, etc.).

Guessing the issue is all mental (not like mental health per se, but lack of confidence, or timing with Schaff is off, etc.). This is incorrect. It proves nothing. One can have an niggling injury that's related to mechanics. The part gets irritated, you stop and rest. It feels better. You start up again, with those same movement/mechanics and it starts to hurt again, and you have to sit. This of course implies that Landfair has an issue with the mechanics of her hitting. Not to go down a speculative rabbit hole (considering we know no facts about her injury) but we know she's been quoted as working on it (my guess is her arm swing). It's a reasonable answer for why she's in and out.

May Hugh’s birthday energy lead the Gophers to a convincing win! 🎉🎉

I just have this feeling that if Northwestern is to win, it will be in less than 5 sets.

The Gophers are not the same without Landfair.
