really hope this is a good one. only slightly pulling for San Diego since it’ll look better for Texas but looking forward to a quality match.

If Pries isn't healthy, BYU is going to take advantage of Wilson/Hester all night long. I say BYU in 4, but I would love for Katie Lukes and Grace Frohling to prove me wrong!

Should be a great match. If it were based completely on how spring season played out and how the teams have changed since then, BYU should keep the advantage. This BYU team is much improved from the spring and didn’t lose any key players. They did upgrade quite a bit. The spring team handled USD twice, with Frohling, Lukes, Pries, Fayad, and Wiblin. Anything can happen though, I think it will be a battle. I haven’t watched as much San Diego as much this year so I’m not sure if they are also a better team than they were in the spring. They definitely had a quite a few injuries in the spring and seem to be a lot stronger in the middle department this fall.

If Pries isn't healthy, BYU is going to take advantage of Wilson/Hester all night long. I say BYU in 4, but I would love for Katie Lukes and Grace Frohling to prove me wrong! I think this is it. Even if Pries came back for this match, none of the players who have been out with ankle sprains have looked themselves in their first match back. This matchup with Pries in it would be a legitimate dogfight. If BYU knows all the sets are going to Frohling and Lukes, it's easier to figure out their blocking strategy. I think BYU will take this match fairly easily, especially in Provo. But there will be a rematch in San Diego on November 23, hopefully with both rosters fully healthy. (I still think BYU will take that one, but it could be very close.)

They definitely had a quite a few injuries in the spring and seem to be a lot stronger in the middle department this fall. Well, Dodson transferred to Northwestern, but Gneiting coming back from her mission more than made up for it. Overall, I agree that BYU is better than they were in the spring. As for San Diego, they were plagued by setting issues all season in the spring, which is one of the main reasons that I think BYU was able to handle them both times. I also haven't seen as much San Diego this year, so I'm not sure if that's still a problem. Losing Wiblin obviously hurts.
