But no one actually views the Pac-12 that way anymore. It's a G6. I didn't say it was a power. I said it is the premier college brand in the West. Correct, it still is, regardless if it's P or G.

Of course the PAC brand will be kept alive. It's very difficult to kill off a conference. The freaking WAC still exists in some capacity, ffs. If that brand was worth clinging to, then the PAC brand is as good as gold.

But it isn't. Even with only four or five schools each, the Big 10 and Big 12 have better brands in the West now.

I forgot that the Pac-2 joined the WCC in non-football sports. So not only did they poach five Mountain West schools, they also poached the most valuable WCC school. I guess the lesson is to not let Washington State and Oregon State into your conference under any circumstances.

You can talk a big game all you want, but at the end of the day you aren't going to turn down the Cougars or the Beavers.

I'm sure they would have gone to the ACC if invited, but they weren't. Anyway, I was mostly joking.

I'm assuming the Mountain West and the WCC who accommodated them and help them fill their schedules/let them in as affiliates only for them to turn around the poach their conferences.

I was trying to think of what a cougar at a dive bar might be drinking before preying on hapless young men (for the joke to work)... my first thought was boxed wine... but I decided to go harder with the tequila. Anyway... about that conference re-alignment stuff..... The Cougars and Beavers seem to have successfully "lured" themselves some Rams, Broncos and Bulldogs. Even an Aztec warrior! Sounds like a swingin' party, baby!

Aren't western conferences. No one thinks of them as that. They aren't that. There are two FBS conferences in the West: the PAC and MWC. The PAC is the premier brand in the West. Correct

Correct Lol, come on. No one thinks that the Pac-12 is "premier" at this point. There are no premier conference brands in the West now, only schools like USC.

Well, you're a jaded, bitter New Mexico fan. Your school was left in the dust.
I understand why you need to lie to yourself and anyone else who will listen, about the PAC.

I mean, I'm a BYU fan for the most part. New Mexico is mostly for men's basketball. And even then, I'm just as much of a UConn fan as I am a New Mexico fan, as I've actually been rooting for UConn for longer. Anyway, you are absolutely delusional if you think the Pac-12 is anything but a glorified MWC. Like did you go to school at one of the Pac-2 schools or one of the Mountain West defectors or something? Your obsession with them is bizarre. For the record, if New Mexico got in over say, Utah State, that would not change my opinion on the matter. The Pac-12 is a G5 regardless of which schools it has.
