FYI it is Homecoming weekend in Brookings ("Hobo Days"). Big party. They might just get a few fans there, who knows. also FYI the stream is not free. NDSU, SDSU and Denver never have free streams, unfortunately. Pretty much the rest of the conference does. also also FYI the all-sports rivalry has been dubbed the "Showdown Series" in recent years (started about 8 years ago) The actual rivalry is much older, of course, but it never had a catchy name before. I did a stats comparison for League-only stats, and just league rankings (10 teams):

The obvious matchup problem for the Jacks is that they will be playing the #1 Hitting% team, and are the #8 Hitting % defense.
Both teams have an issue tallying digs.
USD was a bad serve and serve-receive team early in the season, but have gotten much better recently. Bad passing has been a nagging problem, and really the only thing holding them back IMO. I think the DS's are playing more rotations now, rather than having Slaughter occasionally go 6 rotations along with Juhnke. That has probably helped, too.
USD's middles are going to be bullies tonight.

How in the world do you hold a team to 14 points in one set and then only score 14 the next one and then hold the opponent to 15 the 3rd set? Talk about a roller coaster ride of momentum shifts.
