In Conference only stats, Nebraska leads the conference in attack %. Nebraska and Wisconsin are tied in opponent attack percentage. Nebraska leads in assists, kills per set, and is leading by more than 2 digs per set over any other conference team. Nebraska also leads in having the fewest reception errors and is leading in service aces. Wisconsin leads in one statistic, blocking. Match-ups will be critical and neither team can afford to lose the serve pass battle by a significant margin. The biggest question for Nebraska is the who plays opposite Kubik who leads the BIG in kills per set. The biggest challenge for Wisconsin is how they defend the 3-5 split with Caffey and Krause. Both coaches prepare well, both teams have exceptional liberos although Nebraska is stronger in backcourt defense from zone 6-1. Both coaches are conservative and I wouldn't anticipate any surprises offensively. If Hames digss too many balls, Wisconsin wins. If Hilley digs plays close to the number of balls that Hames does, Nebraska wins. Say it ain't so ... smh Where's madden55 so he can you that you're wrong.

Cook told JB and Lauren post match Saturday when asked about the Ally/Sun position that they have been working with Whit and maybe she could see sometime there as both together hit for negative on Saturday. I mean, it’s time, no? The other hitters/middles have bought them time to figure the OH2 thing out, and neither one has come out to take the position. Honestly, at this point, try Knuckles all the way around. She hit on the left in high school right?* *This is a joke, before the literal interpreters come out That made me laugh.

He’s in some corner beating his head and texting his support group trying to understand how such a horrible setter like Hames is awarded another B1G setter of the week. . . He also seems creepily unhinged by the play and adulation Rodriquez is getting. . . Maybe he and Feiswog are bieetching about that. Double wammy for him today. Who knows…

This was already explained to you, but I'm going to do it again. Not getting aced is not the same as passing well. You could pass atrociously all match without getting aced even once. It's certainly a good thing to have the fewest reception errors in conference but it doesn't prove the point you think it does.

Nebraska leads in assists, kills per set, and is leading by more than 2 digs per set over any other conference team. Leading in k/s is nice, but the others are kind of questionable. I just looked at the PAC-12 stats, and for the most part the teams that are leading the conference in wins are not leading it in digs. I'm not sure digs/set correlates with winning at all. I mean, if you serve aces and/or block every point, you could win a set 25-0 and have no digs whatsoever. (No kills either!) I see digs and assists as being pretty useful stats within a team (how is the floor defense spread distributed? how is the setting distributed?), but as an absolute number they don't matter a lot.

I thought we already argued during the OG and came to the conclusion that I don't know %*$# and am old. You even posted a pic of old people playing volleyball. Why do you care what I think ? now? Just felt a need to rise above me once again. It seems you are a little insecure with yourself and need outside validation from VTers. Why else would you respond to a post that is not even addressed to you. Weird and Arrogant.

Because I'm addressing the content of your post as opposed to addressing the poster as you just did with madden. You're the one who tried to throw shade at somebody. Coach Cook has talked countless times about how he doesn't care about service aces because they are not useful in assessing opponents' PASSING as a whole. You would much rather be the team that dimes most balls and gives up three or four aces than a team whose setter has to go all over the place all match but doesn't give up an actual ace.

Looks like the B1G Network brought in the A-team for this match.

I’m so glad I’m off this Wednesday. Now to figure out a way to watch the game in real time... we have a quest.

I’m so glad I’m off this Wednesday. Now to figure out a way to watch the game in real time... we have a quest. My wife and I usually take two ballroom dance lessons back to back because the studio is over and hour away. We had settled for a single lesson tomorrow (Tuesday) night, but I just got a text from our dance instructor saying he had opened up lessons on Wednesday night for us. ☹️ Guess we’ll be recording the match and trying to avoid spoilers til we’re able to watch it. Yow!
