I need to start taking bets on when the OHs are going to be swapped out. Ellis has 2 errors on 3 swings. How far into the 2nd set will she last? 👀 I'm sure you've been asked this before: If you had to pick one of the those three platooned OH to start regularly, who would you go with? At the start of the season? Chinn. Best all around option they have. At the moment? Koch. Way more aggressive and they need that. Her blocking needs a lot of work though.

Temi Thomas-Ailara better transfer for her fifth year bc I need to see what she looks like on a good team before her career is over. KBB likes a good rescue transfer please

When you're platooning and you feel like you're constantly going to get pulled for making a mistake, you're not going to to progress. He's holding them all back by using this strategy. Obviously pull them if they're playing awfully, but I don't understand how you can expect someone to gain confidence. Reminds me of Nebraska pre-season. The team has gotten SO much better, because Cook committed to a lineup once the B1G started and told the team he planned to do so. Reminds me of Oregon WBB last year. INSANE talent on that team, but they never gelled because the coach wanted to play all 14 players instead of committing to a consistent 8-9 player rotation.

I didn't realize Shane Davis had Richard Louis on his staff too. He's snatching up all that LBSU championship talent! Get DeFalco too!

Oof. That's gotta be deflating for NW. Purdue's defense said "We'll take this point thx."

Northwestern BA, Louisville MA might be suss. I did some research the other day and Louisville is the third lowest ranked P5 school, and is more than 100 spots below any other ACC school. Yikes.

Get them all playing time, make sure they felt like they were needed and making an impact, prepare them to slot into Newton's spot when she graduated. Then the 5th year thing became available and it's proven very ineffective for them. I do agree -- the investment needs to happen. They each have a unique skillset but one needs to be given a hefty amount of playing time to develop their weaknesses and stop playing so tentatively. I don't think it's like Nebraska. They have an exceptionally talented class and are outplaying vets. Purdue doesn't have that, even when Ellis, Koch, and Chinn were freshmen.
