Hope Broncos can work out their jitters and play to their potential.

I wasn't expecting it to be this one-sided. Yikes!

Hope Broncos can work out their jitters and play to their potential. They were good at playing even throughout most of set two. They stayed four or five points behind San Diego since about 5-9 San Diego. Unfortunately, they couldn't make up that deficit.

If this goes more than 3 then San Diego is not a top 25 team!

If this goes more than 3 then San Diego is not a top 25 team! San Diego came from down 19-22 in the third set to go on a 6-1 run and take it 25-23.

There is nobody there to watch this match! I count 276. SCIAC D-3 teams draw larger crowds of fans.

SCIAC D-3 teams draw larger crowds of fans. Maybe this explains USDs obnoxiously loud announcer for the WCC Sports broadcasts. He's overcompensating for the small crowds. Kidding aside, as a massive USD fan, I'm always afraid that our failure to draw fans is a huge ding on our ability to recruit.

He actually sounded like some old guy from west Texas that kills a pack of Marlboros a day! lol I figured the lack of fans was just a California Covid issues and with all the restrictions most people don't want to jump through hoops to go to games. I saw a USC match that had about as many fans this season as well. San Diego is pretty good academically, beautiful campus on a hill with great views, and who wouldn't want to live in San Diego with that weather for four years? You have players from Mass, Texas, Basil, etc.. The talent is always there to be a #17 - #25 team and compete with BYU for the WCC title, but with the city of San Diego as your main recruiting assets the HC needs to go after a couple more top end players because the goal should be to get the recruit on campus... that will sell itself! Not every top player wants to go to a P5 Football school.

Not every top player wants to go to a P5 Football school. I turned the volume WAY down for a few minutes, but then had to just mute it...the announcer was still so annoying even at the lowest volume, and gave ZERO information about the match, other than the names of the San Diego players who scored. USD's announcer has always been annoying, but this went to a new level. I think I can remember one match against BYU that drew a nice crowd to Jenny Craig. It is a huge arena, and usually 98% empty. The thought has usually been that there's so many other things to do on a beautiful day in San Diego. The campus itself is one of the most beautiful in the whole country, and the weather is amazing. (And they do still have a football team, I believe...D2.)

Not every top player wants to go to a P5 Football school. USC has drawn crowds of 150-200 this season, but that is never the announced crowd. USD needs to shoot higher in it's recruitment. It has everything going for it as you mentioned.

Out of curiosity, are there specific big-time recruits that you think they should have been able to land that they missed out on?
