Ugh! The male announcer says that Taylor can challenge that no lift was called. The woman gently tries to tell him you can't challenge a lift then he reiterates that Taylor can challenge that there was a lift that should have been called. Who is this guy and why is he calling volleyball, esp for ESPN (with a relatively large audience)?
ETA: I think it's Sam Gore. I don't understand why anyone lets him call a volleyball game. I'd cut him slack if he was new but he's been doing it for decades and still very confidently gets more stuff wrong than almost any other announcer.

itโs painful to watch Taylor coach this team Why is that? I think it's almost more painful to watch Black coach Georgia. They always under perform it seems. With Mizzou, they are playing almost an entirely freshmen squad and while they are producing terrible results this season, expectations can't be that high given the personnel. If Mizzou is still in the bottom half of the SEC the next few years when Taylor has his recruits in then I will be more dissatisfied.

What makes you say so? I doubt he will be. Molly is about to have a child in a week the announcer said and he made the tournament his first two seasons there, and has a top 15 recruiting class coming in next year. Do you think he would get the chop after one awful season? Kayla Banwarth had the same results last year and now Ole Miss is a tournament caliber team. Edit: I understand that he was gifted lots of talent when he took on the interim position, but talent doesn't guarantee the results the Taylor's have had. Look at LSU, with all their talent, failing to make the tournament year after year.
