My thought is Macey Donathan at Arkansas for HC I think she lacks experience. She would be a great thought later on (5-10 years... maybe), but right now I think we need someone experienced enough to get us on the right track and reach our potential. This is true but if having links to ASU and some degree of P5 coaching experience is what ASU is looking for, then IMO Donathan may be the best option. Regardless of the new HC, I firmly believe that ASU could be one of the top programs in the Pac-12 if they just made the right hires and gave the program respectable facilities, given all of the talent in the state. I'm wondering if volleyball will move over to the new Mullett Arena eventually, especially given the rumors about ASU basketball potentially moving over to the new Coyotes arena west of campus if it ends up getting built. |

I guess I didn't realize that she already has 7 years of assistant coaching under her belt. She's the recruiting coordinator at Arkansas so that would be good experience for her as a HC. We will see what happens. I would love to bring her back at least as an assistant or Assoc HC! I agree with you; it is time to invest in ASU volleyball. Too much PHX/ AZ talent that is leaving the state. |

I wonder what is taking so long to make a hire. Looking at our roster, Geli is still on it which is a good thing. We need to snag some of the transfers in the portal!
ASU: 24 days Michigan: 8 days P5s Filled:Oklahoma: 14 days Washington: 14 days UCLA: 18 days (surely delayed by San Diego being in the F4) Missouri: 21 days Texas A&M: 25 days K State: 30 days Oregon State: 37 days I posted this in another thread when K State fans were getting impatient, but this is the current status of the P5 job openeings (less MN and Ole Miss). ASU is not a better job than any of the above except Oregon State and maybe K State (who is about to get a new facility, something ASU had the chance to do with their new multipurpose arena and chose not to). That's probaly what's "taking so long". There's been a claim that the job has been offered and accepted. Will we get news today (day 25), tomorrow (day 26), or will it wait for next week (day 29+)? |

Don't Think Anybody Had This Name Interesting choice! He has a lot of connections to the San Diego scene as he coached club at Coast, one of the biggest clubs in the country and has LA connects by being at USC. Wonder if we will be seeing a heavy SoCal roster? |

Since Watson left, the ASU coaches have had little interest in in-state recruiting. Hopefully this changes.
