I thought I could catch the end of this match, but Oregon just took care of business too quickly for me to see any of it.
Nice win, Ducks! And still without Borup.

May cannot handle the pressure of doing everything. I was almost hoping that for the third set Sealy would have her play opposite or take her out of serve receive completely, but glad that Ndiaye stepped up well. The poor SR from May definitely affects her hitting mentality (on top of the poorly located sets) It's weird that Sealy won't bench her in a match. Jacobs had more kills than May but yet Jacobs was pulled. I get that Jacobs wasn't passing well, but May didn't have a good match either. Sit May and let her think about it for a few points to see if that will get her going.

I don't know why I keep wanting to root for UCLA in this one. I definitely want them to lose in order to bring the Huskies back into a tie for the conference lead, but at the same time I just keep feeling on individual points like I am rooting for UCLA. It's very confusing. Must be the uniforms.

So much for my idea UCLA could be in position for a top 4 seed.
Super win by Oregon. Thought this would be a nailbiter.

ugh do we know why she didn’t travel with them? Dang it! By my count this is the third travel trip she’s missed: Washington schools, mountain schools and now Oregon schools. Seems very odd…. agreed

Come on Morse. Get your serve in. I have no criticism for our servers so far like the aggression, but a good serve is one that goes in.

The poor SR from May definitely affects her hitting mentality (on top of the poorly located sets) THIS is why it will be a challenge for her in pro ball, and pretty much is a disqualifier for the USA gym. I mean if Plummer was iffy in the USA gym last year b/c of her serve shanking, then why would May move ahead of her?

11 points l, no Oregon kills 9-4 UCLA. No Oregon kills. No swings for Brooke yet either. Based on how this started I did not see this ending

Isn't it possible she was injured at the beginning of October and missed 2 games, and then is now again injured and has missed 4 consecutive matches, rather than it being 'travel related'? She traveled to play at Stanford and the Arizona schools...

Without Luper, UCLA is mortal. With her, they're wearing a cape...

Does Oregon still intentionally pass tempo balls (low and very flat) to their setter to speed up everything? Some of these passes give me anxiety with how fast they are for their setter coming from the back row lol (but are still spot on) I believe that is the goal, yes. Stressful for sure Flat, low balls are a joy for setters whether the setter is back row or not. Much better than high spinning passes and defitely necessary for a quick attack.

Very impressed by Oregon. Without Hansen and Borup, they are more fluid and quicker. The frosh middle closes blocks really fast, but the Ducks still block lousy. BTW, for the Dawg fans rooting against UCLA, this Oregon team can beat you even in Seattle.
