 I didn't see anything here about the order that players were chosen in the draft this week. I think that is interesting information. Here is a screenshot from the draft video on youtube. The picking starts from the right side (oddly), then snakes back and forth. |

Joe posted about his take on the picking from the Team Lowe perspective. FWIW, here are some misc thoughts from a random fan, me:
I'm puzzled by Sheilla's choices. Especially, choosing Kalei Mau when Peterson was available. I'm rooting for Kalei to play well. But, she hasn't had much opportunity yet and is an interesting bet. Sheilla also ended up with 3 '*' players." McCage. Cruz, and Nichol. Are any of them actually going to be available to play? Again, an interesting bet because McCage and Cruz could be big difference makers if they are ready. Otherwise, no fallbacks at all at OH and MB. Risky stuff. A good team regardless, could go hard in either direction against the competition IMO.
Drews prioritized a strong OH to balance herself along with strong defense. I think she was fortunate that Natalia was available a bit late; though I think Childress is just fine, but a bit slow on defense at this point. Getting Peterson late seems like real luck. And, she gambled by going for middles late - but ought to be OK. I *really* want Lianna to have some breakout matches and be as impressive as she was last year. Getting a couple of good backups at MB and OPP at the end was good luck.
Karsta focused on grabbing great hitters and then solid MBs and still somehow got Benson and Childress followed by some good backups.
Betty got her setter and libero before securing Falyn. A good move given that the other three teams were led by OPPs anyway. Deja seems like a great choice at the other OH. She went for MBs fairy late and still did well to get Morgan and Fara. I'm excited to see Fara play more. I thought she did great when she got a chance to play in the first(?) week, but didn't seem to get much love after. I'm curious if any of the bench players will play much. Hers seems like the one team that is most likely to play the starters almost exclusively. If Betty wasn't so great then I'd see her team as less likely to do well than (IMO) the stronger teams of Lowe and Drews.
I'm really excited to see the matches this week!

so is stivrins done what happeepnd officialy l They sure aren’t being very forthcoming or transparent about the injury…..The coverage I saw, the announces we’re talking about Bastianelli being traded due to “an injured player”, but they wouldn’t even say her name. |

If karsta is so terrible, how does she keep getting MVP points? She’s clearly not offending that many people with her behavior. We all have our favorites and not-so-favorite players don't we? Add in a thick slice of the bias pie...and there you go. |

someone was so mean to karsta on a comment saying how rude she is and unsportsmanlike behavior The poster called her "unprofessional." I'm going to guess that this description is less harsh than "rude" or "unsportsmanlike." I think it's on the same level as "inappropriate," but I'm not current on dissing. That's pretty tame actually...if you compare that to the whole brouhaha over Hooker, remember? Boy those were the days... |

(im telling myself its not bad and she's being precautionary before the NT season) they're probably not announcing it because its not our business lol I dont think its super uncommon to be like "they're injured, theyre out" especially with the lack of media coverage/availability. |
