K-State in match 2 against Iowa St looked like the K-State team I expected at the beginning of the season.
Receive, Set, Serve.

K-State seems really inconsistent this season. One match probably won't look the same as the other. Texas will need to contain Aliyah Carter. She went off against us last season in one of the matches.

I’ll miss Thursday’s match but will be there Friday. I’ll expect another sold out crowd and the girls firing on all cylinders!

and out of KState and TT which team has a bigger chance of pulling off the upset? Tech in Lubbock. I think K-State is the better team though.

Tech in Lubbock. I think K-State is the better team though. You suspecting a blind ref in Lubbock? No, strange things just happen in Lubbock. Ohio St (Top 10-15 Team) showed up this year in Lubbock and the box score showed 900 people attended. Last time Texas played there in 2019 over 4K showed up. Texas has a way of boosting everyone’s home attendance stats (A&M, Baylor, etc.) and the home teams energy level. If the A&M match was in front of their normal attendance that game is probably a Texas sweep. Still think Texas wins both matches but the energy and fight provided by your home crowd shouldn’t be discounted. Especially when that home crowd is 4 times larger than normal thanks toTexas showing up.

And don’t confuse my comment with the we get everyone’s best shot comment which I hate. Just why I think a road game against a bubble team is tougher than a home game against a slightly better bubble team.

Looking forward to the all-Hawaiian setter throwdown.
(And before anyone comes for me, yes, I know K State has a freshman backup setter. But she has no stats and does not appear to have played this season)

The Buckeyes rolled them, but it is entirely plausible there was a different energy with the Longhorns there. I think it is quick work for Texas versus KSU in Austin.
