Impressive showing from MOD 18's. Finished 5th with their only losses coming against OCVC twice and Bay to Bay. most likely would've been beaten by fear if fear played their starters in that last match. Did Fear have their starters in when they lost to Vanguard?

C2-16's beat Balboa Bay 16's in 2 to win the 16's. Looking at AES, C2 dropped 1 set the entire tournament and that was to MVC Joe in the quarterfinals. I look forward to seeing them in Chicago and STL. Not sure if this C2 team is going to AAU Nationals or if they are going to USAV. Was Balboa 16s missing players this weekend? I had heard they were as dominant of a Balboa team as there has been in a while, but it looked like they only had 9 guys there this weekend. Were they missing any key players that anyone knows of?

No notable victories Winning the loser bracket of the gold while missing a very impactful DS and beating the silver bracket champion is not enough?

Mod is a very solid passing and serving team plus they have a couple solid pins. They are definitely underrated

Not really majorly surprised by those results, will definitely be interesting to see 352 and Bay play the top socal teams. So cal is superior. MB Surf is winning. I call it now. this didn’t age well

I heard Sterling Foley injured his knee and was out. Not sure when in the tournament that happened, but that would be a huge reason why.

Unless i missed him getting hurt in the final, Foley was playing the whole tourney including the semifinal. I do know (per folks at BB) their other starting outside is hurt and was not at the tourney.

They were little on the right this weekend, with their setter hitting through the front row in a 6-2 (Polk likes to run a 6-2) and their other right side being a shorter lefty.
