Looking at the schedule, there are no unranked losses on Aquinas' schedule. A couple RV and the rest were top 5 or 10 at the time and top 15 now. Again - I think Menlo would beat Aquinas on a neutral site - but I also am pretty sure that question has nothing to do with who gets selected. Yes there are..... Trinity Christian - Feb 18th as well as 2 RV Menlo losses where all top 10 then Stanford and USC ....

RV is unranked and way below top 5

Aquinas had wins against #3 Indiana Tech, #10 St Xavier, #13 Missouri Baptist, and #15 Lourdes (twice). They took advantage of beating highly ranked teams, late in the season.
Menlo had an early win against #8 Benedictine and two wins against #12 The Master's. They never took advantage of their opportunities against Vanguard and OUAZ.
As for who wins on a neutral court? I think Aquinas was playing better at the end of the year, and they would have beaten Menlo, who were riding a high ranking all season after their win against Benedictine and not losing to anyone they weren't supposed to lose to.

all in all, there is enough teams that are good to expand the tournament to 16 teams.

Notice how you fail to mention that AQ lost to Trinity Christian, and two unranked opponents Goshen and Sienna Heights. There Ranked Wins don't take away from there Bad losses. What is a bad loss that menlo had. Lourdes is no where near the team that Vanguard or Ottawa AZ is. Lourdes vs top 15 2-4 with wins over #14 St.X and #13 Georgetown Vanguard vs top 15 9-2 Ottawa AZ vs top 15 9-3 The teams are not of similar caliber and you can't just act like they are

We get it, you wanted Menlo in. Be sure they beat someone next year and they likely will. Let's move on - one heck of a tournament brewing in Iowa.

No I want the best 12 teams at nationals so that the product is the best possible! Idk why objections to ranking mistake is a problem for ya but I think this is a reasonable place to debate why Menlo should have been in over Aquinas and/or another or issues that you have with who got in. in.

I don't want Menlo in or out, not my team....but their only losses in NAIA play was to the #3 & 4 teams in the country. That is tough for them and I'm not sure if that was/is fair.

I think the best four at-large teams made it. Aquinas is playing as well as anyone in the country right now and actually had some quality wins over top opponents. Menlo is good, but Aquinas just had the better resume as a whole. For those of you mad about Menlo, I think Mo Bap actually has a better resume than both and could argue they deserved it more than the other two.

I guess this should go down in NAIA 2023. But the GSAC teams will be stronger (and they were very strong this year) next year. Vanguard loses some starters, but Menlo, OUAZ and Master's lose so little. Master's loses 1 starter, but he is being replaced by an all-american player.

Anyone familiar with the Rexplex in Des Moines? Since the tournament is being held there I was looking at it and it seems the only arena is a hockey rink. Will they but down a court over that or just play in the hardwood court section and bring in bleachers?

It will slow down the california teams since many kids from Calif cant skate.

It is not currently iced over; it has flooring laid over it, and it is hosting basketball this week.

and, for better or worse, they serve alcohol there. We all know Coach Steele will be indulging in some beverages between sets.
