With Stockham, Hiatt, Dvoracek coming back, Cal Poly is going to be loaded at the pins next year. None of them pass well. They'll have some question marks heading into next year. hawaii will have some similar questions to answer too. after wagoner and ikenaga, who will be the 3rd primary passer of the pins coming in next year? and if that role is going to be platooned by a pin hitter and a defensive specialist, then they'll need some dynamic walk-ons or transfers to join them next year (since it sounds like gong is likely graduating/not returning). but for sure it looks like cp and hawaii will have some nice offensive weaponry returning ... |

I agree this cal poly team will be tough! They can hit yes, but they can’t pass to save their lives. The reason why their record isn’t as good. I’m not sure Maia Dvoracek would be the same player she was before the injury. I was not impressed with their passing. Even the DSs were very questionable in accuracy. |

Johnson, Akana, Leoniack, all are good passers. They don't need great passers, they have Riley and Ikenaga for that. Akana can pass, she didn't have to because Gong is available. Johnson is a better passer than a digger, Leoniack is a better digger than a passer but needed they are way more capable than SLO's pins right now. |

In before bwfan tells us that Riley and Ikenaga are also "good" not great passers. (It's possible the become that a year from now though) I'd really really love if we could have a passer that we could be confident to take 50% of the court if we have to, but we don't. Or two more good passers. We really struggle serve-receive, if any of our passers get in trouble. There's not many adjustments we can make if we have to shade someone out or bring in another passer. |

She hasn't passed since she's been a Wahine and she didn't pass in high school either. |

She hasn't passed since she's been a Wahine and she didn't pass in high school either. I’d be shocked if Akana can pass. Her high school and club coaches did her no favors by keeping her in the middle. |
