Julie Darty Dennis says hello The award usually goes to a Final Four coach, so I doubt Darty-Dennis will really be in contention. AVCA awards are lame. We’re here for the VT ones 😎

If Miss St. wins, or even shares the SEC Championship it is equivalent to Rutgers winning the B1G Championship. Darty-Dennis will get quite a few votes, not saying she will win, but it won't be a Busboom-Kelly run-away win!

Why have CRS if you're going to take four minutes to look at it and still get it wrong. That was just tragic, ball was out. You can see it on the TV replay, so sad.

Nice adjustments by Pitt to get back in it. Likewise, nice comeback from Louisville in set 4. L'ville wasn't down by THAT much or that late, but, still, a five point+ gap at any time vs a good team is impressive to right the ship.

Trust me, she won't win unless Mississippi State makes a deep run (i.e. Elite 8 at least, probably Final Four). The most recent winners: 2020: Skinner 2019: McGuyre 2018: H. Olmstead 2017: Wise 2016: Dunning 2015: McCutcheon 2014: S. Olmstead 2013: Rose 2012: Elliott 2011: Sealy 2010: Feller 2009: Shoji 2008: Rose 2007: Rose 2006: Banachowski 2005: Cook 2004: McLaughlin 2003: Haley Everyone on that list was on a Final Four team. You have to go back to 2002 to find a coach (Bobbi Petersen) who won the award without it. Northern Iowa lost in the Sweet 16, though even in that case, they were a top four seed going into the tournament. Ole Miss isn't going to be a top four seed.

Not sure how likely this is but I’d like to see Klika and Fairbanks start in the first round of NCAAs. I thought Klika was digging balls that Browske never comes close to touching and I thought she passed pretty decently. Fairbanks was great in both setting and hitting.

But, as of now, coming from bottom of SEC to top is IMO not quite the gauntlet that the BigTen is. SEC is on the move up.

Why have CRS if you're going to take four minutes to look at it and still get it wrong. Part of the problem is that the officials don't want to show each other up....that's part of the problem. We make mistakes, get the call right!

I coached at Claire Chaussee's club almost a decade ago when she was on the 12s or 13s and her sister was a standout on the 16s...pretty cool to see how far she's come and watch her put up a performance like she had today.

Wonder how serious Lund's injuries are...she looked pretty wrapped up on the sidelines, and for her to miss arguably the two biggest matches in their conference season is not a good sign. Hopefully it's not bad and she can play in the tourney.

Ball was so out but what can you do I see how the LJ missed it, too close to him and didn't rotate back for better look. But at least 2 good video shots showing space. Dissapointed in R2. Very critical call. Don't cop out.

Our family has known and played with her for years, she was always one of my favorites and I knew she was going to do big things. But honestly, given her size, I did not anticipate this.
