Chatted with UK setter Emma Grome about this matchup at the end of this episode:

Mick seems to be a huge Grome fan -- he's got good taste!

This will be a fun matchup, especially at the end of the season

I'm rooting for whatever gets Mississippi State a share of the SEC Championship! Assuming the Bulldogs defeat Auburn:
-- Kentucky goes 2-0, Kentucky wins title outright -- Kentucky and Florida split 1-1, Kentucky and Mississippi State share title -- Florida goes 2-0, Florida and Mississippi State share title
I think the first tie-breaker for the NCAA auto bid is head-to-head? If so, UK gets it in the first two scenarios. In the third scenario, UF and MSU split their two matches. Both were also decided 3-2. What would be the next tie-breaker? Total points or points allowed? If so, UF gets the bid.

Head-to-Head points I think there’s a 4th tiebreaker (maybe total conference points?) and then a coin toss. It’s never come down to that before though.

I think Kentucky will take both. They are just more consistently rounded.

More drama and higher TV ratings are great for the sport. What is riding on these two matches for three different programs is great. Regardless of the outcome, Mississippi State deserves a lot of credit for the conference run they have had this year!

I'm not sure higher TV ratings are much of a consideration since Saturday's match is not even on the SEC Network. Unfortunately, SEC volleyball becomes an afterthought during football rivalry weekend, the start of basketball season and Thanksgiving weekend. This is a great matchup and it's a shame the conference isn't doing more to promote it.

I love my Gators and I would love a split.
Florida is still in play to host the first week end.
The injured and banged up Hall and Forte need to play well and I know they will.
