Buffs Close Out Season At Utah

CU will honor three graduating seniors tomorrow, Jenna Ewert, Zoe Neverdowski and Taylor deProsse as they play in their final home match. The three have combined for 54 wins in four seasons and one NCAA Tournament appearance.
- SCOUTING THE HUSKIES -
Washington (22-4, 15-3 Pac-12) is in a deadlock with UCLA atop the Pac-12 standings but needs help to secure the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. The teams split their season matchups but UCLA has a slight lead based on sets won in the standings against the Huskies. They have won six straight and won nine straight before their matchup against UCLA on the road that ended in a sweep. Since that loss, they have only let up a single set at Stanford but have swept both Arizona schools, Cal and both Oregon schools.

No. 12 Dawgs Start Final Week At Colorado

If the Huskies can defeat both Colorado and Washington State, they will win at least a share of the Pac-12 title, which would be UW's second of the calendar year, and seventh in program history. UCLA, also at 15-3, is aiming for its own share with two wins of its own, while the Cougars at 13-5 are still in the hunt if they go 2-0 and UW and UCLA slip up.
12th-ranked Washington has a quick trip on tap to Colorado, where the Huskies will face the Buffaloes on Wednesday at 12 noon Pacific time. After getting back home for Thanksgiving, the Huskies will host the 21st-ranked Cougars on Saturday, Nov. 27, in a match that could decide the Pac-12 title. The Huskies will clinch at least a share of the title if they win both matches this week.

I worry a bit about the woman. She's had similar injuries her whole career with Washington. I hope she's OK.

Colorado has some solid wins in an up and down year for them.

They beat Illinois in 5. They swept Utah. And they beat USC.

This is probably not going to be a gimme.

Colorado has always been a tough opponent for the Huskies in Boulder.

Their win vs USC on Nov 5 in Boulder is the only significant win since Leah Clayton stopped playing for the team.
Colorado did take Oregon to 5 sets before losing 2-3 in Eugene (Oct 31)
Their win against Utah (Sept 24) was the last match Clayton appeared in the stats.

This should be a sweep by the Dawgs...they are playing as well as they have all year. The slow starts that plagued them early on seem to be in the rearview mirror. I would be lying if I said I wasn't just a bit concerned that they are looking past the Buffs to Wash St on Saturday. A match that should be for a share of the Pac. I also think that its weird for the girls to be on the road the day before Thanksgiving and I am a bit worried about where their heads will be. But overall, if they take care of their side of the net, things should be fine. Stay Healthy Dawgs!!!

At least Colorado did better in their 1st set against the Dawgs than Oregon did.

UW with 4 aces to 0 for CU, which reflects the full serve/pass. CU is mostly OOS and UW is passing a lot of dimes.

Colorado should just set the Middles at all times - even if out of system. Why not? They have been incredibly efficient the last few matches.
