Nice warm up match for UCLA. Even without Luper, UCLA is too strong in all spots.

Nice warm up match for UCLA. Even without Luper, UCLA is too strong in all spots. Fairfield's lineup isn't tall enough to stop the Bruins. May is gonna go off. Dodson will meet little resistance also. |

My hope is UCLA has learned from the USC game and shifts McCall to OH, Ndiaye to OPP, Jacobs to DS.
I know McCall's right back defense is superior, but I think Jacobs is too streaky for a team that relies so heavily on their left pins. Maybe have McCall play right back when she and Jacobs are both back row? If Ndiaye struggles offensively on the right, slide Jacobs there.

So, May, Fleck, Martin gone... now Luper maybe too? Yikes. UCLA had so much promise..... Olsen/Jacobs/Ndiaye in theory is a top-level pin trio, and the middles are good, but neither Jacobs or Ndiaye have been able to figure it out in True Blue... not sure what they have libero-wise either. UCLA on a quick train back to "Why isn't UCLA better" status. |
