Ball State in two. The first two games will be so one-sided that Michigan will forfeit rather than play a third game. Does anyone know if you can already pre-order the Ball State national championship shirts?
All joking aside — should be a fun one. As a Ball State alum, I’m pumped to be in the tournament.

I'm confident in Michigan's ability to handle the Cardinals in R1; not so confident about handling the Cardinals in R2.

Is Ball St. good enough to capitalize if Michigan has a bad day? It would have to be a really bad day and Michigan has been much more consistent as of late. Anything's possible of course but I'd be shocked at an upset in this one. |

This is a well coached Ball State team with a lot of weapons! If you're looking for a good first round match, this could be it!

This match has the makings of one of the best opening bell matches in the NCAA tournament and will be a real ding dong battle. Ball State enters the match 29-3 and riding a 19 match win streak with one of the best ball control teams in the country. The Cardinals are constantly in system on serve receive offense and play fantastic back court defense in addition to being an excellent blocking team. They also have a very balanced offense and a freshman setter that is well beyond her years, making excellent choices with superb set location. Michigan will bring to the table a much tougher schedule and more firepower on offense which they will need against Ball State’s termite back court defense and solid block. Michigan will have to match Ball State’s block and back row defense and that will be no easy task as the Wolverines have struggled at times this season with back line digging. This match may be the most fan friendly first round match and it can be seen nation wide Friday at 4:00 ET on ESPN+.
