There were certainly a lot of B1G fans who were crowing when Oregon lost in the first round yesterday. I wonder what they feel about this one? I don’t ever want to hear a PAC fan whining about their draw in the tournament again.

If ball state plays like this tomorrow they could give Louisville some problems wow I’m just so impressed They beat the B1G's 8th best team in five sets. Let's not get too crazy. Louisville is head & shoulders better than Michigan. But if Louisville plays badly- and Ball St plays like this- all things go.

Wow came home from work and saw this. Congrats Ball State. So who questioned them getting in the tourney again?

I don’t ever want to hear a PAC fan whining about their draw in the tournament again. I'm a fan of both conferences, but I really don't think these are comparable losses. PAC's fourth best team got swept by the B12's fifth best. This is the B1G's 8th best team going five with a conference champion. Feels just a bit different to me.

I don’t ever want to hear a PAC fan whining about their draw in the tournament again. It's not the same. Michigan was never going to be a threat to Lousiville. All BIG unseeded teams got rough draws. Oregon meanwhile got the second most vulnerable seed team and the highest Pablo chance of a non-seed other than Miami to reach Sweet 16. This is the root of the historical PAC harping about BIG being more successful in subregionals solely due to geography.

Ball state was fun to watch. Incredible defense, great intensity, good setting. It was a all around solid win for them! Michigan also beat itself (like usual). Our serve receive was atrocious, our pins can’t get any sort of consistent termination. The terrible passing doesn’t help Scottee, but her setting is also all over the place. I love Michigan but this wasn’t a great game. Hannah Grant was also off her usual magic.

Ball State in two. The first two games will be so one-sided that Michigan will forfeit rather than play a third game. Does anyone know if you can already pre-order the Ball State national championship shirts? All joking aside — should be a fun one. As a Ball State alum, I’m pumped to be in the tournament. Pretty favorable draw too, with a winnable match in the opening round. Wow, even I didn't think that it would actually happen.

Wow came home from work and saw this. Congrats Ball State. So who questioned them getting in the tourney again? I'm pretty sure the answer is zero as Ball State was an auto qualifier.

This is the root of the historical PAC harping about BIG being more successful in subregionals solely due to geography. But there is still a root problem with this, regardless of this years anomaly. The only real difference this year is that Penn State is unseeded and Pitt is much better than they have ever been and Penn State HAS to go there. Louisville would almost always draw an unseeded Big 10 team because of geography, that also doesn't change here, the only difference is that Louisville, like Pitt, is much stronger than they ever have been. That is the only reason why *now* it's considered a rough draw - because the teams the Big 10 would usually be playing in the sub-regionals are better than they have historically been. I think that objective prognosticators would change up the regionalization rules REGARDLESS of who it does and does not benefit in any given year. I'm tired of seeing Utah/BYU, San Diego/LA schools, Florida/FSU.

The joke Hawk was making was that the PAC failed to win a match in one of the winnable subregionals that your fans complain BIG teams always get. It's that simple. I also don't like regionalization rules, it's just annoying that some PAC fans think it only hurts them because they seem blind to the fact that there are national powers emerging in the middle of the country not from BIG.
