i dont know anything about mens and i dont even know perugia's opposites name but why are you setting him there. that triggered me (is it warranted? idk lol) well...I kinda like the decision. Rychlicki isn't great but he's definitely good enough to kill that ball. pass wasn't great, the block would've been all over Anderson on the outside so Gianelli took a chance and set it long distance. Set looked pretty good to my eye, Kamil just can't miss that. but also, 16-15 in the fifth...maybe you go safer and set Matt there? idk. Matt's been good all match long too.

Leon was not ready for a swing, and Giannelli was pulled a little bit closer to the left side making that side a bit crowded if he went to Anderson who kinda cooled down in the fifth set. I don’t hate the decision, but I also wouldn’t say Rychlicki is a player/opposite I’m trusting to kill a big ball like that

Chieri all over again.

This one will definitely go down in the history books. 5 set first match, 5 set second match (both winners being the away team). Trentino takes the golden set in a small margin. Amazing.

Their experimentation and versatility this season paid off.

But Anderson had a 65% attack rate, I would have let him go at the block.

I can't find the stats for the golden set but it looked to me like Matt cooled off from what he was doing in the overall match setting Matt was the safer choice but I can't fault Gianelli for taking a chance. Podrascanin was right in front of Matt basically, wouldn't even have had to move much.

Rematch of last year's final.
And both teams are in similar places in their domestic leagues as last year as well.

Game was nuts! Trentino player who served for match point absolutely annihilated it - I think that serve is an Ace at any other point, was surprised Leon passed it as good as he did. Sucks to lose like that, seems like michelleto and the setter switched blocking assignments for the last point - wonder if that played a part in the set choice
