This is Carolina's 3rd NCAA tournament appearance in 4 seasons. However, oddly, they have no players with tournament experience. They play 4 freshmen, 2 sophomores and 2 senior transfers. Mikayla Robinson was a starter on those two tournament teams, but she's out for this one.
Tough matchup, for sure. WKU is impressive. About the only thing I like about the match is the location, Atlanta. It feels like a regular week.

Carolina does have some players who were on its past tournament teams, but they don't play very much. Mallory has shown great leadership after the team lost its captain for the season. She's like having a coach on the floor. |

I didn't realize Mikayla Robinson was out for the rest of the season after getting hurt a month ago, this game lost a lot of luster now
