I think she is deserving as a top 5 libero, and it's not like Creighton plays against Sister's of the Blind Community College or a lower level Conference.

KU's right side hitter, Payne, was also difficult to contend with. KU was still playing in their small gym, so it was packed. It's one of the most memorable matches I've been to.

no. they're going to go with Sis+Keeley again At RS, Creighton loses some scoring punch by moving Davis to the left, but they do gain a better block in Schmidt.

Davis hits OOS better, obv, but I like Kiana's slide/two foot approach more. Shes more effective in system. (and provides an alternative to Naomi's slide)

It's one of the most memorable matches I've been to. I was also at that match - sat in/near the Creighton fan section (which wasn't full). Otherwise, great atmosphere. I watched the 1st set from this thread - I had forgotten that Montero was playing for Kansas. That was a very good Kansas team. Along with Payne, Havilli, and Rigdon in their junior year - they had Wait and Soucie in their senior season and then Freshman Burse and Montero. It took Burse a while in her freshman season, but by conference and tournament, she was becoming a very good hitter. Montero would have been one of Kansas all-time greatest players if not injuries. She wasn't 'ready' to be a 6 rotation player that year, but she was an effective DS. This team was better than their FF team the previous season. Payne got injured a week before the end of the season and returned for the final match and the tournament.
