I never ever gave up. I just started yelling louder. Lol. SAMESIES!!!!!!! I yelled so much I lost my voice and am feeling lightheaded. Best Greg experience ever! Same. I hope it’s back by Saturday. I knew after that 3rd set they would fight with new fire. And I got tickets for Columbus so I was extra motivated. Lol

Washington passed exceptionally well I was surprised that Powell just didn't set as well as she normally does. Definitely had a lot drifting inside and towards the net.
That said, I do think ONeal was clearly over at 8-13, but honestly I don't think it made a difference in the match.
She was definitely over and it should have been point Washington. Unfortunately couldn’t be overturned because whether the ball is in the plane can’t be challenged. But agree it was unlikely to change the outcome.

I wasn’t able to watch live, but the outcome doesn’t surprise me. I picked Texas to advance to the final four in my bracket. I suppose how the outcome came about is surprising with, at the end, only 1 actually competitive set out of 5. It’s hard to take out a top 4 team on their home floor for the 1st match. You essentially just have to expect that team to not play well. Wisconsin, Louisville, and Pitt all blitzed their opponents. Being a top team with HCA is really really tough to overcome. Ugh would’ve loved to see them play on a neutral court. Maybe non conf next year??? Hint hint Keegan pls make it happen Fwiw I highly favor a return to set regional sites. Giving the best teams HCA every year makes for very predictable results.

Texas won't need 5 to beat either of those two teams... Knocking on wood… blackie, you don't need to knock on wood because this was are tournament stumble and we recovered. The only team I am concerned about is Louisville... They have this 2020 Kentucky look & feel that scares me.

Being a top team with HCA is really really tough to overcome. This isn't about UW as I've said this consistently, but, I dislike the HCA in the NCAA Tournament. I much prefer neutral sites. I know, crowds and TV are the biggest argument against it, but, that's my opinion from a competitive standpoint. There are even drawbacks to even having it at one location (like Oklahoma always being in Oklahoma City in softball) but I still think I'd rather prefer that.

Definitely one of the best matches I’ve seen in 20 something years - and the first time I think the crowd had something to do with it. And by crowd I mean me. I was crazed. Lol.

Giving the best teams HCA every year makes for very predictable results. Unfortunately, I agree with this. I know it helps a TON for crowds, but I think the upset of Stanford over Wisconsin is still the ONLY year since moving to this format that a top four team hasn't made the Final Four. Any chance at an unseeded team reaching the Final Four seems to be over with this format.

Giving the best teams HCA every year makes for very predictable results. But bringing in more attendance revenue helps volleyball become a tier 1 sport. They've had to battle for years to have a gap day in the regional so kids aren't playing on back to back days. That's a money decision.

Hard to take... after being up 15-10 in the 3rd, we were outscored 55-25 the rest of the way.

Also forgot to mention: when the top 4 seeds are a little arbitrarily decided by a committee, and largely out of the teams' control, it creates the potential for the committee to literally create the final four they want to see for monetary reasons. I get the regular season is important, but you want the four teams playing the best at the end of the season to make the Final 4.
