Pitt up 2-0. I do not see KU being able to climb back from this. I'd like to see them steal a set, though. They avoided the big 7 point service from Pitt in the second set. It's funny. They're dominating on the block, and their hitting percentage says victory. But Pitt looks so much more explosive, and Pitt does a better job of avoiding the silly errors. Also, the Pitt serve is way more effective than KU's.
Not a lot of rallies in this match, to be honest.

What does KU do? I thought they would bring in Davis to start the 3rd set for a change of pace, but Szabo got a kill and block late. That is about the only personnel move available.
This match is simple from here - Kansas has to get Pitt out of system off the serve. Pitt is passing too well - and wasn't stoppable. The serving has to get better.

Serving get better, and remove the silly mistakes. Too many "what the heck was that?" moments on the KU side. |
