When’s the last time the 16 seed beat the 1 seed? Purdue beat #1 Florida back in 2010, led by senior setter Jaclyn Hart. Ariel Turner was a sophomore on that squad. Can’t imagine Florida will reverse those fortunes, given how they got whooped down the road at Kentucky. And before people point to the Miami march, recall that the Hurricanes scored 15 per set against Louisville.

This is a bad time of year to be undefeated… and a great time of year to have nothing to lose! Go Gators!!

That was a gut wrenching weekend for Hart… she is a testament that there can be success under incredible duress… her performance up until her injury vs Texas was inspirational…

This is a bad time of year to be undefeated… and a great time of year to have nothing to lose! Go Gators!! I agree. And the 1pm start on a weekday mutes some of the home court advantage, imo. The downside is I won't be able to watch live.

Had Hart not gone down, the result very well could've been Purdue making it to the final four. Even though she was out, Purdue gave Texas all it could handle. I've been to a lot of matches at Gregory Gym and that was by far one of, if not the loudest, matches I've been a part of. That last point was insane.
