Some interesting differences between these awards and the PAC-12 awards.
Drews over May (Pacific South POY) Cook over Greeny (Pacific North COY) Murphy and Oglivie and Miner on the Pacific North All-Region list but none of them on the All-Conference list -- Oglivie didn't even get HM in the PAC-12

Maybe Cook too -- most wins and won Pac-12, yeah, let's take Cook.

I'm pleasantly surprised to see Rylin Adams and Dani Nay from Weber State both get honorable mentions in the Pacific North Region without their team making the tournament. They are both so deserving.

By the way, this answered a question I posed earlier. Yes, Mia Tuaniga is still considered a true freshman, even though she was on the Long Beach roster last year. But Long Beach didn't play volleyball due to COVID, so that year didn't count like it would have if she had been a redshirt on a team that did play.

Interesting looking at the Region Players of the Year. In regard to average seasons in college, it is 4.5. Only one player, Julia Bergmann from Georgia Tech started college after Fall 2018. She started fall 2019. The numbers are four super seniors (all 2017 HS grads and in their fifth season) and one that started school in 2016 (6th fall but only fourth season--so she may have another year due to redshirt and medical hardship). Four in their true senior season (2018 HS grads), but all could use their Covid year and only Julia in her third season with two more years available.
That is just wild to me.
