I was so hoping they'd come back to Chicago, or the near suburbs like they used to do every year with the men. Then I could go commentate the matches in person and not have to travel anywhere...
But regardless, I can't think of a single possible good reason for going to the middle of nowhere Louisiana. They already struggle enough with getting American fans to come to these events in person, why make it even more difficult? It's insane to me.

I'd rather go to Ottawa or Calgary than Louisiana.

Couldn’t they at least name a city that people from around the world (or even the US) would recognize?

the crowds for the IOQT 2300 4000 4200 that's awful That's absolutely embarrassing attendance, and there's no reason for it to be better next summer. Back to the Chicago point, I've been to every VNL/World League that they've ever hosted in Chicagoland, and other than the time the men hosted Japan, China, and Canada, it always sold out because of the huge European population in Chicago. Chicago has the second biggest Polish population of any city in the world, including Poland, behind only Warsaw, and they LOVE volleyball. I went to a USA men vs. Poland match in Chicago and I was outnumbered 50 to 1 as an American fan. Serbia, Bulgaria, same thing, even Iran had a huge fan presence when they were there. If you want attendance numbers and you know you can't rely on American fans to show up, pick a place where you don't need a single dollar of a marketing budget because international fans will be there no matter what. I just don't understand.

like not even trying to be ignorant or whatever, but I’ve lived in America my whole life and never heard of Shreveport-Bossier until they hosted IOQT, even in passing. there better be some serious discounts on tickets is all i’m saying.

Reach we're over here now lol i dont think the non-major city matters for the Philippines... they probably have a larger USAV following than we do here lol

Tickets were $25 and $35 for IOQT. I looked at the VNL bidding process and one of the requirements is an international airport..... which is in Dallas you know what'd be great to host in Dallas? lol
