I’m going with Louisville in 4. Georgia Tech is great and they have good firepower that can win them this match. But I think Louisville’s training, preparation and synergy will be on display. I do think this will be a great match!

I’m giving it to Louisville but it’s hard to beat a team 3 times. Also, in their last matchup, GT scored over 20 in every set I believe, so yes a Louisville “sweep” but still about as close as you could make a sweep So you are saying Rutgers would beat them on the third try? This is dumb logic.

In third match ups, I would always prefer to be the team that has won twice already. Not the same, but my high school team in hoops went 21-7, with three losses to the same team (tournament championship in coveted tournament, our homecoming, second level of state playoffs). We were up 16 in the first half in the last match up. When the other team came back, I think doubt set in.

!! TORNADO WATCH !!Thinking of everyone in this storms path across the country. Louisville appears to be the only regional location that is on alert. From what I am reading though, Louisville is certainly dealing with Mother Nature tonight but not in as serious danger as western Kentucky. Everyone in the central US, stay safe. Louisville Updates (WLKY News) I am crossing fingers and toes! An Amazon Distribution Center in Edwardsville, IL, northeast of St. Louis City but in the metro area, got hit and parts collapsed. Hoping everyone can be rescued okay from the wreckage!

Louisvillian here...
I can't add too much, as honestly, I slept through the bulk of this event. That certainly, in hindsight, wasn't very wise of me.
I live in Eastern Jefferson County (city of Louisville), and we had some spring-typical thunderstorms roll through around midnight, which was just weird to see in mid December.
The really dangerous storms apparently came through around 2:30 or 3, like I said, I was asleep. :/
It's just getting to be daylight about now, and that will really reveal the damage in places, though we already know that this was a historic level of storm.
Mayfield and Bowling Green are the cities getting mentioned as being hit the hardest. Mayfield in particular as it's a fairly small town and took a direct hit from the major tornado that is being estimated as an EF-4 or maybe even 5. It tracked through parts of 4 states, roughly 200 miles. The county courthouse at the center of town is basically destroyed.
Deaths are being reported as at least 50, though that number will almost certainly rise as daylight comes. (Kentucky's record from tornado deaths in a day is 76 in 1890...we will likely eclipse that. The deaths in KY from the 1974 superoutbreak were 72.)
Louisville was relatively untouched, though Bullitt County, about 15 miles south of downtown Louisville did see a tornado warning last night.
To give a sense of the geography. Bowling Green is about 2 hours drive south straight down I-65. Mayfield is about 4 hours drive southwest...more west than south.
I'm just a schmoe in his suburban home, so don't really have any great insights beyond what I too am seeing in media, but I thought I would pass on some of what I'm seeing locally anyway.

Louisville bandwagon fans get to the FF I've been telling people (in the chaos that is overall University of Louisville governance) that the seats on the volleyball bandwagon are nice and comfy and I'd be happy to show them to their seats.

Georgia Tech’s last (and only other) appearance in a Regional Final was a good match. Let’s hope this one is too.

I’m gonna politely ask you to re read that first sentence <3 let’s say that was my logic (which it isn’t as stated by my post you just made that up but let’s go with it), this would be a very different situation because that gap in skill level between Rutgers and Georgia tech is huge and GT is much more capable of beating Louisville than rutgers is.

The affected people of KY will need more than strength sent their way. Consider contributing to organizations like Samaritan's Purse who will be on the ground with a helping hand.
