We haven’t seen a defensive team like Nebraska yet this year. And JE has always mentioned that the elite eight is one of the hardest games. I’m already nervous for this matchup.
Illinois seemed to have success when they hit off the block instead of around it. I wonder if that will be the Texas game plan also.

I haven't caught up in a while but like ... when was the last time Sun played for Neb? I thought we could make it to the second page.

Compare the digs from the five-set UT-UW match and the digs from the three-set NU-IL match.
Nebraska's definitely got the defensive chops. But their offense is lacking. They've certainly got capable hitters, though.
Texas' offense is just on another level. I don't think Nebraska comes close to their dig averages. Texas hitters are good OOS. I'm just so excited for another great match! It's going to be awesome!

These two teams are essentially identical to their spring selves, minus the shifts as Libero for both. That buys Nebraska a closer match (aka not a sweep), but Texas still has the guns to neutralize Nebraska’s defense. Texas in 4.

Lexi Rodriguez by herself spots Nebraska a set in this one. There’s frankly not a libero in the Big 12 even close to her level.

Batenhorst and Krause give a taller front line than in the spring, and Krause has shown improvement in her blocking in recent weeks. Rodriguez at libero gives an improvement in ball handling and allows Nebraska to play essentially 3 Liberos at times in the back row. If the new players and the defensive changes are enough to give a different outcome from the spring, I don't know. That's why they play the game.

When Nebraska has this "three libero" rotation, who's in the front row? Kubic, Stivrins and Hames Is this considered their "worst" rotation, or the one where they can get stuck?

That buys Nebraska a closer match (aka not a sweep), but Texas still has the guns to neutralize Nebraska’s defense. Texas in 4. As a Husker fan I tend to agree with the assessment, unfortunately. Last spring was also a 4 setter but it was a dominant performance by Texas. The Longhorns hit nearly .350 while Nebraska was held to under .200. The addition of Rodriguez and a better floor defense makes this a closer match than last spring, but the Huskers lack the offensive efficiency or firepower to turn the tide in their favor. With someone different running the offense plus the youngsters having another year of development might lead to a better result next time around. But this time it's still Texas in 4, albeit a more competitive match than last spring. Hope I'm wrong.

Kubic, Stivrins and Hames Is this considered their "worst" rotation, or the one where they can get stuck? no. They just stuck in rotation 1, where they pass with Kubik and Rodriguez only

Didn’t Fields pop off for 20+ kills last year over Hames? I think she hit almost 600
