I don't think Wisconsin has the left sides to beat Louisville though the rest of the positions even out pretty well. I think Louisville edges it out, but it should be a fun defensive battle.

Certainly how well the UW pins play in any one match (it has varies greatly) will have a huge impact on the outcome. But they've still managed to pull off victories against better pins. Is Louisville better in all offensive positions on a consistent basis? I don't actually know.

Hilley and Dilfer are both good setters, though I think Hilley has the better all-around game. Now that I'm thinking about it, I do think Wisconsin has the edge at libero and a bigger edge on the right side offensively. however, DeBeer and Chaussee are definitely better offensively than the Wisconsin lefts at taking high swings and getting kills. Jones and Tillman will likely be all over Wisconsin's lefts. I could see Wisconsin getting Louisville in some passing trouble but I think Louisville's firepower at the OH will be superior in the end.

I'm guessing Louisville takes the win. It seems like they are on a mission and they aren't going to let anybody get in the way of that and it shows because they haven't lost yet. We shall see though! It's comments like this.... And Wisconsin isn't on a mission having been to the final 4 3x in a row? Having been there 5 times total and not winning? Next we will be saying "one team wants it more"

DBK in the strategy session "If you see Orzol and Loberg next to each other in SR, that's your target. Hit that spot and you win"
On the other hand, Wis in in system all night if you can't hit that sweet spot and wins

I think if Wisconsin can stay in-system and really utilize their middles, they take this match. If not... Louisville takes it.

Wisco win speaks ab it in the press conference, Louisville is very good in transition. They’re outsides specifically are great at putting away balls when dilfer is 10-15 ft off the net. If Louisville’s outsides are on and they are passing at least a 2 as a team and play as well as they can defensively, it’s gonna be very tough to stop them

Louisville press conference OMG that first question. DBK answered that very well.

This will probably be a blocking battle. I’d be surprised if either team hit for a very good percentage. I think both OH duos will be blocked a lot and have poor nights statistically. But if one duo is going to be better it will be Louisville’s. Opps are a wash, but I think it’s more likely that Jones will produce compared to Smrek. MBs go to Wisconsin, but not by a lot.
I thought Louisville was messy offensively at times during their regional final, but I expect them to limit their unforced attack errors this time around. But I also expect them to have their own attacks sent back much more than what Georgia Tech was able to do them.
Anyways I’ll pick Louisville in 5

Next we will be saying "one team wants it more" Only ONE team gets to claim to be "on a mission"! After that the choices are:
- "has work to do"
- "wants it more"
- "fulfilling God's Word"
- "get this done and get outta Dodge!"
- "is ready to kick some ______ butt"
- "is possibly prepared to win, but may not, due to unforeseen circumstances...but, on the other hand, may push it to 5 and surprise you"
- "What?!??! We WON??!"

Both teams can be on a mission. It can be like Mr. and Mrs. Smith where they have the same boss and are set on a mission to kill each other.
