I just hope the Badgers can channel the energy they get at home. They laid an absolute egg in Spring 2021. Orzol better be ready for SR 25 times at least too. She was a little better last night, but still is hit or miss. Admittedly I know little about Louisville so I don't know know what to expect. Will probably have most of the Nebraska fans cheering for Louisville and DBK. Quite likely. Same with the Pitt fans. I root against Nebraska every chance I get. It will be hard to tell who's who when you have cardinal Adidas and cardinal Under armour for three out of four teams.

(Because this stuff MATTERS! /s) Nebraska's color is described as "scarlet" (and creme); despite their name, Louisville's official color is "red" (I think?), and Wisconsin is "cardinal" (and white).

Technically true, Rob! But I think when NE and WI both were Adidas... I am pretty sure it was the same red.
Do you remember the first year with the cheap UA uniforms that they were clearly NOT Badger red (home uniform)? More like Indiana. And Haggerty's name fell off. Embarrassing.
I am guessing that is true with UofL and NE now having the same red. Maybe they will wear black. I'd actually bet on one of them wearing the black unis.

Home/higher seeded team is supposed to wear light unis, so for this match that's Louisville. My guess is that Louisville (except libero) wears their white like they did for their two matches this weekend, and Wisconsin (except libero) wears their cardinal.

rainbowbadger Thanks for making the thread! I would suggest switching out Aiko Jones for Anna Stevenson as a player to watch. Jones has not been much of a factor this year against any of the top teams. Stevenson on the other hand has been an absolute force on everything except overpasses. Go Cards!

Louisville keep wearing the white jerseys worn the last 2 matches. After all they are the Muhammad Ali inspired jerseys!

Let's go Cards! My dream of Louisville v Nebraska still lives! because the knowledge that Wisconsin's first championship would almost be a foregone conclusion if Neb/Wis faced off?

Big fan of Rettke but I think Louisville takes this.
As I’ve said previously, this will be Wisconsin’s best chance of an NC in the next few years. If you don’t win with Rettke and Hilley, then I don’t really know what will.

Do you think there will be a watch party at union south?

It’ll take a while to get a group this experienced and good again

I've seen Louisville only two times this year, and that is not enough to judge the outcome of this match by. I think the badgers are still peaking, so they have a shot. But this will be one of those wait and see matches for me.
NOTE: I'm actually surprised UW is leading the poll.

It’ll take a while to get a group this experienced and good again They’ve got a solid core of young players with Final Four experience coming back (Smrek, Orzol, Robinson, Demps), a few veterans in Boyer and Ashburn, plus Danielle Hart returning. The wild card is if MJ can perform as well as she did against Minnesota in the spring and who steps into the Libero position. I’d expect Sheffield to bring in at least one freshman that could make an impact next year, so if that happens… all is not bleak for the Badgers in 2022.

The Badgers' last two performances on the national stage have been abysmal. Granted, in 2019 they got Plummed. But they just didn't seem prepared, or something. I hope they have gained valuable experience from that. It is the same crew, after all. It has been a lifetime since they played outside the Field house too.
