Everyone realizes that badgers fans always undersell the team out of fear of disappointment, right? Yep. Plus we haven't seen Badgers vs. Louisville much. I do remember the Badgers coming back from 2-0 to beat them in 2013. Then I also remember bad Louisville shortly there after. It is almost a similar trajectory the Badgers took from 2010 to 2013. I've seen a decent amount of Louisville this year, but it's not like say, seeing Nebraska. Channel their 2019 Baylor final four selves, but without the unnecessary drama!

Probably because there aren't a ton of Louisville fans on this board. She's pretty great. All setters in the final four are great. Hames has her intangibles, but she's missing one of the core competency of a setter...location. So many great passes and I found myself saying, "trap set," "too low," "too high" waaay too often for as good as that passing was. There aren’t a ton of Louisville fans which is very true…. Until this year which is giving me major band wagon vibes, I wonder how many of these Louisville “fans” could name more than 3 players from before DBK took over lol Personally, I have only been following them closely since 2016 back when Melanie McHenry was the only place each set went to. Then came Wilma with her nasty jump serve but spotty setting. To steady it all though they had Sauer passing. Did Busboom take over the year after?

I hope the Badgers can channel some Kelli Bates in this one! She got her first collegiate kill almost taking out a Louisville defender on a line shot at the Pav in Minneapolis in a Badger win in 2014.

I don't know which game I'm more excited for, this one or Nebraska/Pitt. Badgers are a VERY GOOD TEAM with lots of weapons and confidence. I hope Wisc does well and finds the weakness in the Cardinal. Sorry fellow Husker fans, I choose Badgers to win the Natty. GO WISCONSIN BADGERS! (I really hope I'm wrong.)

My wife was a grad assistant at Louisville with Don Hardin, so we go way back with our fandom. I really want them to win-Anna Stevenson is a great player and person, and we enjoyed getting to see them up close the first weekend when they played UIC. Both matches Thursday have the potential to be terrific. I'm hoping all teams play well, bt we are pulling hard for the Cardibnals.

Leave it to a Stanford fan to sound incredibly pretentious.

Account created here in 2010, but only lurked until this Sept. No bandwagon here, but happily showing some new bandwagon fans to their seats. The more the merrier.

Never said it was you but did find it interesting you changed ur profile pic to a cardinal bird this year lol, I’m from Louisville and have been a huge fan for a long time, so yes when Louisville is undefeated and in the semis and there’s suddenly all these Louisville fans it’s kind of the literal definition of a band wagon. Just pointing it out, not even mad I hope they get all the support they can

The problem with the bandwagon is that those mbb donors end up with the better season tickets and then never go!

I started watching them more closely during post-season last spring and was impressed. Now they're one of my favorite teams to watch. People talk about bandwagon fans like it is a problem, but everyone becomes a fan at one point. I'm not pretending to be an 'OG.' I had to look up how long ago DBK got there. But I have the utmost respect for her and what she's done with the program.

Wisconsin wasn't terribly good when they beat Neb in Lincoln, IMO. They needed Smrek to win that and that shouldn't happen. Badgers were better when they beat Neb in Madison, but Nebraska also got a lot better, especially serving. It took a while for Wisconsin to figure out how to replace Hart and get a back row attack. Now they have a pretty steady lineup and seem to be getting more comfortable with it all the time. So, Louisville is very good, but Cook played them when his own team wasn't good, and the badgers are definitely a moving target. I'm not sure his comparisons should be taken quite so categorically. Of course, the really important thing is to have an apparently logical explanation to believe what you want. aardvark rhymes with snark...did you ever notice that?

I have followed both teams closely and this is going to be a battle. If Louisville can neutralize Robinson and Retke, UL wins this one. If UW can block the lights out of UL, UW wins. Pretty simple. UW needs a good game from its middles on defense and offense, and UL needs their passing to allow multiple options.

UW I believe only had one good blocking match all season. They go whole sets with it missing. This could be interesting.
