Interesting matchup. One of the teams I felt like UL struggled the most in was against Wake Forest. They won 3-1 but it was very close to being a 5 setter and only hit .207. Watching it seemed they were having issues with the size of WF. Wisconsin brings that.
Wisconsin seemed to struggle with IMO the most the most athletic team in the tournament when you look at all 6 positions on the floor at any given time (Purdue). Louisville may not be the biggest but they are certainly athletic across the board but not as streaky as Purdue and just play so consistently.
Wisconsin like Texas if on a roll can just boat race you at times. Louisville makes you grind it out and play good volleyball point after point because they just haven’t had long streaks of bad volleyball too too often and all year no one has been able to deal with them playing solid volleyball point after point.

This one is so split. I think Louisville pushes Wisconsin and they break. Was at a Wisconsin match earlier this year and they lacked the killer punch at times.

No way that’s faster than bus Louisville gym to hotel. Oh well I wondered that as well. About 3.5 hrs driving. With a charter flight cutting down the rigamarole, it might be, but I wouldn't think it would be shorter by much.

Get to gym, load bus, take bus to airport, unload bus, load plane, fly, land, unload plane, load bus, bus to hotel. That’s taking much longer. Bus way more relaxing as well. Oh well, just surprised me. Wonder if Pitt flew. It’s 3 hour drive.

UW I believe only had one good blocking match all season. They go whole sets with it missing. This could be interesting. Yeah, it is inconsistent. They were also third in the league in blocks during conference play, as well as second in opponent hitting percentage. Not sure if that indicates an all or nothing type deal or frustration from the times it has disappeared. IDK...This Wisconsin team does consistently get block touches in matches, possibly more so than any other team I’ve watched this year. But I don’t know where to get those specific stats because by NCAA rule, the only blocks reported are those that immediately result in a point. So perhaps that might account for the impression that Wis. does not have consistent blocking performances. And they are obviously, good at keeping opponents hitting percentages/efficiency extremely low. For just one example, in the Minnesota match, I saw Samedy’s attacks get touched or beat back over the net during play. But those are not counted as “blocks” in the stat totals. Am I mistaken?

I'm guessing Louisville takes the win. It seems like they are on a mission and they aren't going to let anybody get in the way of that and it shows because they haven't lost yet. We shall see though!

Yay, so he was at a single match and can now completely opine. I, on the other hand, having seen three Louisville matches, will not attempt to opine at all.
