Tamas posted a dab earlier, so we picked up someone. Must be Burbage.

I love our super sleuthing! Can anyone give the deets on Burbage. Was she ranked out of HS? How many years of eligibility? Did she play at Mizzou?

6’4” so another tree to the line up. Raina, Swanson, Burbage. Thats one tall front line! Whittington, Bingham, Collins, Bohm. We have some TREE’s!

I love our super sleuthing! Can anyone give the deets on Burbage. Was she ranked out of HS? How many years of eligibility? Did she play at Mizzou? According to Burbage's Missouri bio she was ranked 145 coming out of high school. She played middle for Missouri and was reasonably effective on a terrible team. There are so many ways Tamas can take a roster next year. I thought, and still think even if Burbage joins the team, Mosher will be our opposite. She can play six rotations, and given our lack of depth at DS a six rotation opposite is an important consideration. In the exhibition match Mosher was set in the back row more than anyone else, and I thought she did an effective job. Of course, if Mosher is our opposite and gets hurt we will need someone to play the right side, similarly if Brown gets hurt Mosher would move to setter creating a need for another right side. Of all the people on the roster, Kennedy Collins has the most experience on the right side - that was the position she played for the first several matches of her freshman year and she is the person Tamas put at that position when Cooney was not able to play in the last match against Nebraska. Tamas may decide Bingham is ready to be the M2 and move Collins to the right side. In the video posted last week Bingham was shown hitting on the right side, but VanSant talked about Bingham's middle skills. Finally, if Tamas reads this thread he knows what is really important is either finding depth on the left side or making certain Terry, Nunge and Bruna are injury free. Oh, and finding DS help. Bottom line, recruiting another middle confuses me.

Burbage played RS end of year at mizzou, hit 316 , 75 kills on 155 attempts with a broken finger on her hitting hand think she will do much better with better team, better setter, healed finger should help for sure She played lot of RS in club, mizzou for some reason played her in the middle, maybe out of need , not sure clip of her touching 10 5 in club, so she has athletic ability with size for the big ten

I've watched a few of her games last year at Mizzou. She looks very athletic and pretty dominant. She played on not a such great team last season and she stil was able to have a few matches 10+, that is impressive. She will be a good get. She reminds me a little like Omazic but taller. She definetly looks more natural in the MB position but she will be needed as a RS at Illinois.

Burbage on the RS. Can't teach a 6'4" player with long arms that can block. If Mosher can pass use her as a DS who can hit out of the back row like Kenzie Knuckles did at Nebraska -- at 5'8" she murdered us. Let's have Mosher return the favor!

Good get for the Illini. Quick search of VT, looks like she was originally committed to Tennessee and then decommitted at the last minute and switched to Missouri. Hopefully this will be her last switch and the Illini get 3 good years out of her.

Interesting to see that she has not officially posted on her instagram about her transfer. Typically they post a picture saying they are transferring
