My gut (which of course has NEVER been wrong) thinks that Meredith Nelson Uram could be in consideration.

My gut (which of course has NEVER been wrong) thinks that Meredith Nelson Uram could be in consideration. Well, I don't think she has any coaching experience so wouldn't be in consideration. I do hope that she continues announcing for B1G Ten Plus.
I hope that Minnesota gets someone who has had some D1 success coaching middle blockers/hitters.

With all the chat about new assistant coach, has that ever been confirmed that Kasey is no longer with the Gopher?

Great incoming class, now for an assistant coach... And a high-end M1 transfer from the portal.

If it's a Myers level player, then I say roll with Wolf and Booth.

You're right, I would agree. I wouldn't forget about Husemann, who's coming off of her strongest season yet.

Shouldn't we expect this person to also have success in assisting in recruiting ?

Shouldn't we expect this person to also have success in assisting in recruiting ? Hugh, himself, has become a pretty good recruiter and the coaches work together on that. Looking from the outside, it seems to me that the jobs that the coaches split up - like position coaching - is the primary thing that needs to be replaced.

It's not like football where you have 9/10 assistants who are scouring various portions of the country, and the team is bringing in 20-30 new players per season.
I feel like Hugh himself should be plenty able to get around to see all the recruits in person that he wants to target, to bring in 3-4 new players per season?

We just witnessed a Nebraska team with three starting Freshmen almost win the National Championship. We at Minnesota are still hoping/waiting for that kind of success to happen here, with our #1 recruiting class, which will be upcoming Juniors.
I would love fans to chime in on why this particular Nebraska team had this much success at the end of the season. They almost pulled the upset, with a much less all around experienced team.
1 - Core of players surrounding these Freshmen - Stivrins is one of the best ever 2 - Coaching staff at Nebraska 3 - College by their reputation able to land 2-3 top ten recruits just about any season they want to 4 - All the above
Stanford, Nebraska, Texas, Florida, Wisconsin and Minnesota are continuously landing top 10 players. But you cannot deny the success the Nebraska program has had and will continue to have.
