The Gophers have 3 losses in the last two months: Ohio State @ Wisconsin @ Penn State I think we need to stop giving so much weight to September when the team was still regularly shuffling middles and pin hitters. I agree 100%. There was a lot of inconsistency early in the season, but true to form, Hugh has them peaking at the right time. We won't go into a regional as a favorite, but if I was a top seed, I would hate to see MN in my bracket. So proud of how this team has battled adversity all season and shown how great they can be when they are hitting on all cylinders.

You know what, I think I had a premonition last week in my sleep. I had an oddly realistic dream in which I got to see the Gophers play Nebrasksa live (in a stadium that belonged to neither) and the Gophers were up 2-0, but trailed in the third. They started getting steam to tie it up, then I woke up. I didn't expect a sweep but I very much like it (still hoping Hames isn't straight up concussed though. Feels like her head shots have been mishandled two years in a row with the Samedy hit last year).

This is petty but whatever, sweeping nebraska on their senior night is *chef’s kiss* Just kidding this actually didn’t matter at all! Thx Pauline!

Frustrating, albeit unsurprising, that a terrific set of road wins wasn’t recognized.

Baily McMenimen who transferred out of Minny for a grad year and is playing at Loyola Chicago and is their starting setter qualified for the tourney in an automatic bid after winning their conference! Go Gophs!

All the complaining on the bracket thread is a waste. All four regionals are tough. The subregionals vary some but who cares - its about getting to the final four. Texas is tough, #1 seed but so are the others.

All of the players were at the watch party. Good to see an Ellie Husemann sighting.

Go Gophs! It looks like she may not have started in the last few based on stats, but I stand by the sentiment

We just have to beat Texas a round earlier than if we went to Lousiville.

On the bright side the Gophers held Texas to their lowest hitting percentage on the season at .230, Ohio State was second at .297

Less concerned about texas (it sucks but you gotta play tough teams in the tourney to win so oh well) more concerned about usc/Ohio state (again).. those are both teams id rather not see in the sweet 16

Not too surprising. I have been thinking the gophers at either #7 or #8. We have talked about 8/9 doesn’t matter but in this case it might. I am glad that we don’t have to play against USC which OSU will have to go through before meeting the gophers. On the plus side and assuming the seedings hold, we have played at TX this season but I don’t think OSU has played there recently. I am optimistic that the gophers can at least get to Elite 8.
