Not gonna lie. I think there are only two teams who can take down Texas--either the Gophers or Wisconsin.

I’m going to go off on a tangent for a second. The local coverage has always been terrible especially considering how good the program has been over the years. Case in point, tonight’s 6’o clock news they actually talked about the Gophers entering the tournament. They showed two clips of weak tips, like how hard is it to find a clip of a kill? Nobody is going to see that and go, “oh that looks exciting I should check it out.” Of course there was no mention at all of Taylor receiving National POW either. Did they not even bother looking at their website or other social media before putting the piece together? Local media, DO BETTER! Totally agree. The local coverage is nearly non-existent, with roughly 80% of the season's coverage coming when Hugh announced he was stepping down. Excluding Hockey, which has far fewer teams, Volleyball is by far the most successful athletic program at the U and should get media coverage nearly comparable to Nebraska's. Especially considering that volleyball is an increasingly popular sport. I challenge any twin cities media person to correctly pronounce "Wucherer" at a moment's notice. Heck, I challenge them to pronounce "Shaffmaster" correctly.

Or maybe I'm lying. 3 of those 5 teams Texas has already beat this year. One of them twice. That is true, however, in good conferences we often see different results when teams play a second time. So it's definitely not a sure bet that TX will beat those teams again. Although I'm perfectly fine if you want to think that.

Congratulations to Taylor! It does kind of make me sad to think what could have been last year if she had been healthy. Her and Samedy would have been one heck of a 1, 2 punch.

Looks like Booth is one of the two freshmen to earn 1st team all-big ten. Very impressive!

I was in Omaha last weekend and their local sports news gave a couple of minutes coverage to both the Summit final and the Big East final AND recapped the Nebraska game as well. It would be great if the Minnesota volleyball teams got that kind of love.
